5.0 out of 5 stars Finalmente riuscito a collegare stabilmente luci
Verified PurchaseVista l’impossibilità di collegare le luci ‘intelligenti’ alla relativa app, é stato piacevole averle viste collegate al router. Peccato che altre senza zigbee non sua riuscite a collegarle.

5.0 out of 5 stars You'll need the 3R-Installer app.
Verified PurchaseThe name was a bit strange to me, and it took some time to figure out what it was for. I used the bridge with my Apple HomePod and a few devices from Third Reality, and initially, it seemed like there was no need for this app at all. However, for one of my home automation setups, I needed to adjust the motion sensor cooldown time to turn off the lights faster. After some research, I discovered that Third Reality offers cooldown time adjustment in their latest firmware, which can be configured through the 3R-Installer app.
The app is primarily designed to help you set up your device and configure initial settings, not for day-to-day use (since that’s the job of your main app like Apple Home). That’s why it’s named the 3R-Installer app. I wish someone had told me this earlier, so I wouldn't have had to do so much research to learn it the hard way. But in the end, I'm glad the app was useful and solved my problem.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not the most reliable but when they work they are fine
Verified PurchaseThe sensors have a habit of dropping off the network unless they are close proximity to the hub. I have added a signee repeater not sure if this has helped at all, at the moment I have all 4 sensors connected but one was offline for more than a week and then reappeared again.
When a sensor goes offline to get it connected again requires the sensor to be placed near the hub for an hour or two. It then connects again.
Since I am using the sensors in the garden, size is not an issue and the fact they use a standard AA battery is great which seems to last a long time.
Connectivity is the main issue for me, some of the sensors are only about 5 m from the hub and I would have thought that this is not that far for a reliable connection but occasionally sensors do drop off for no obvious reason.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works With Home Assistant
Verified PurchaseI just brought the MZ1. I use a usb power plug to power the hub (as none included), and I also need a longer power lead as the one in the box is tiny. I powered on the hub, I connected the hub to Home assistant first go, I then connected a 3rd Reality Zigbee Vibration Sensor, and an Aeotec Motion Sensor with no problems at all, with all functions working. I then tried Paulmann 29162 Zigbee Colour Globe Bulb, it connected but all I had is on/off which was a bit temperamental, so reset the bulb which deleted it from the hub. so I'm quietly confident that any Zigbee switches or sensors will work with the MZ1 Hub, and the range seem good to in my bungalow. I do hope though that ThirdReality do keep updating the MZ1 to incorporate new devices, or it will end up in the dustbin that manufacturers couldn't be bothered with very quickly, which would be a shame, as with hub has great potential.

4.0 out of 5 stars This device does what it says, just not sure why I need it
Verified PurchaseThis device bridges 3R zigbee to matter.
It only seems to connect to the 3R Installer app, but why it doesn't instal to 3R's only other app is beyond explanation. I could not find a way to connect the main app for this and another 3R matter plug pictured within the app. (A pop up in this app has a link that redirects you to the 3RInstaller app so apparently that is the app they want me to use) This experience sadly seems consistent with this manufacturer.
Ultimately, despite connecting my 3R zigbee plugs thru this app to matter protocol, this did not resolve the problem that the zigbee plugs could not monitor energy as advertised, despite running a 1000 watt heater thru it. (This test worked in 3Rs own matter smart plug as well as two other brands). Having a zigbee hub built into the Eero Pro 6 did not make energy monitoring work and so neither does having this device. The zigbee plugs can be seen in both cases and can be scheduled thru Alexa, but they show 0 on energy monitoring without any change while running a heater. And so what even is the point of purchasing any zigbee devices, if their advertised features don't actually work.
I purchased 3R Matter Smart Plug with energy monitoring and that does work, even without this device plugged in. Therefore I can safely assume that my Eero Pro 6 does indeed support Matter for 3R devices. Also, currently I am using two other brands of Matter plugs without issue.
Interestingly 鶹 claims to have an Energy Dashboard compatible with many connected devices but I have yet to see it in any devices yet.
My 3R Zigbee "smart" plugs are fine for scheduled operation so they will have a purpose. Just not what was advertised- energy monitoring. Researching other devices that might make use of this hub, I can find few that are for sale. Echo or Apple Home Pod have humidity/temperature and speaker built in. What's left- blinds? Coffee maker? Thermostat? What's a zigbee device that needs to be updated to Matter with questionable results? I can just get Matter devices that already work.
