I love the thermos, if you pour hot water in for 5 minutes, then pour your hot drink in, it��ll keep your drink warm for around 6-8 hours. I wish it was bigger but I couldn��t find one. This will do fine.

After couple years of using this unit,. I found some black particles came off from the top lid, it is not coffee ,or tea stains, I only use it for hot water, so anyone still use this Thermos pot, please check make sure is okay to continue to use.

Here is what I posted to the manufacturer:

The lid comes in two pieces and the odd piece is not referenced in the instructions. Also, the odd piece does not seem to connect to the lid even though it looks like it should.

In addition, the instructions suggest turning the lid counter clockwise 1/2 turn to pour. The lid will not seal and no matter what the position of the lid is, it leaks if you tilt the carafe.

Is there an easy fix or a proper functioning lid available? How about a set of instructions specifically for this unit THJ-1500CDN2?
