    Lacks an electrode placement guide/diagram.
    Basic settings doesn't provide any discernable stimulation. Had to play with the settings until I could feel anything. The user guide doesn't give any indication on the effect of modifying the frequency or intensity of the signal, so it's really trial and error.
    The device doesn't retain the last settings, so you have to punch the buttons so many times to reach a therapeutic level, for each treatment. In my case, level 45 for 2 channels = 90 times pushing the buttons. It's tedious.
    My package seems to be incomplete. I didn't have the larger electrodes pictured on this product description.

The EMS function is very effective for Calf & Hamstring strains (running injuries), and for Hip pain (getting old injuries). I love my physiotherapist, but this unit is much more time- and cost- effective than several trips to the physio!
