Product Description

SPECIFICATIONS:
Perfect for Battery & Welder cables | Designed for 8 AWG to 4/0 AWG | 5 Year Promise Directly by Us | Get Perfect Crimp Terminations

How to Use Crimper
Step 1
Adjust Crimping Ram Head according Wire and Terminal Size.
Step 2
Place terminal in jaw of crimper. Place stripped wire in terminal.
Step 3
With crimper on solid surface, strike crimp ram with hammer 1-2 times.
Step 4
When hammer impact feels solid, the crimp is complete.

Finding the perfect die and its challenges.
With a die crimper it can be frustrating to get the right die to work due to the difference in tolerance of wire strand size and terminal wall thickness. For example, if you have a 2 AWG cable from one brand, a 2 AWG lug from another, and a crimper with a 2 AWG die, you might not be able to get the perfect crimp because of the varying differences. The benefit of a dieless crimper like the TH0007 is that there are no dies to choose from and it's infinitely adjustable.
If you just need to do a handful of quick solid crimps and don't want to fuss with sizing issues, an indent crimper is a solid solution.

Designed for Battery and Welding Cable, Building Wiring
Note: Some crimpers come with a gauge, but with variations in wire, terminal wall thickness and material used, this feature is a recipe for bad crimps. Using the force method above will ensure perfect crimps every time. Once the terminal completely envelopes the wire, the crimper will not move and when struck will feel "solid".

The only tool you need

- Reviewed in Canada on September 1, 2024Verified PurchaseI bought all different types of crimpers, pneumatic and plier style, and this hammer on tool is the only one that makes a solid crimp, every time.
The other styles aren't reliable based on wire size and lugs of same size and most times it makes a loose crimp and you need to size down and it damages the lug so bad it needs to be thrown away and restart. Not with this hammer on tool, it makes a clean solid crimp every time and it doesn't get bothered with wire or crimp manufacturing tolerances.
The only issue is when you need to make a crimp on-vehicle, you just can't hammer it in there, which is where the other tools offer a practical solution.
If you can make a new wire or remove wire from vehicle, then this is your go to tool.
This tool is sturdy and high quality.
It doesn't say on the box if it's made in the USA, but I suspect it could be.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 6, 2025Verified PurchaseDefinitely worth considering if you're looking for a good budget wire crimper. Use with a bench vise or just hammer to crimp, no problem handling 1/0 AWG. No complaints!
- Reviewed in Canada on February 15, 2025Verified PurchaseWorks really well crimping those 1/0 lugs !
- Reviewed in Canada on July 19, 2025Verified PurchaseWorks good for making boat battery cables
- Reviewed in Canada on June 10, 2024Verified PurchaseI’ve been looking for something like this for years.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 9, 2024Verified PurchaseI have a very sturdy hydraulic press that I love, but my electrical guru demonstrated why this kind of punch is superior... especially on boat battery cables and car trailer Anderson plugs. The lugs do not get distorted with this either. Crazy how the simple technology of a hammer and point excels over the high tech press. This is the real deal. Don't even give it a second thought. Act now!
- Reviewed in Canada on March 20, 2024Verified PurchaseSimple, effective, good product for the price.
- Reviewed in Canada on November 3, 2023Verified PurchaseI bought this to make my own cables for my 12v solar install on my RV. Even does 4/0 cables with 3/8" lugs. Takes a beating!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great crimps on large wires!
Verified PurchaseI was considering an expensive hydraulic crimper, but got this inexpensive alternative instead. It produces beautiful crimps on 8AWG and larger wire. I mounted it on a small piece of wood, and C-clamp it to a bench or other place I need a secure mount. It can be used free-standing as well. I recommend a ~3lb sledge to make easy work of large crimps. Wear ear protection - it's very loud metal-on-metal!
