    As cool as this was, it seemed to short out on me. I tested it when I received it following all instructions. A week later Turned it on to use for my photo session got battery was low and lost connection with remote aspect. Tried to charge it but wouldn't charge did not work at all. Unfortunately I wanted to do a straight exchange but I can't and when I bought it, it was on sale so returning and buying again was not an option. I wasn't paying more for the hassle. Unfortunate as I have heard wonderful things about it. The 1 minute of use I got it was exactly what I needed but it was purely for testing. Perhaps if it goes on sale again someday I will try again and be able to update this rating

    Before the Smoke Ninja was even released I bought a competition from a crowd funding thing.. It's good. The remote is IR though and I recently had a shoot where we needed to put it under the hood of a car and make it look like it was over heating. Well, since the remote is IR we had to start it smoking then drive and come to a stop. Took a bit too long and that one didn't have protection. So it worked for the shot but it got too hot and melted the plastic cap a little and the atomizing chamber is not 100% any more - ran out of fluid so I guess it burnt the cotton a little.
    So, I bought a smoke ninja. I like it. But saw the Ulanzi and that looked intriging so I bought that. Got it, the remote didn't turn on. Well, you can use it with the button on the main unit. I tried it - sounded like a bunch of mice screaming! The bearings were probably bad. So I returned that and bought this.
    AWESOME! This thing is well built. I tried the dry ice setting first.. It's virtually silent! Sure when you use it for the fog you hear it but it's quieter than the Smoke Ninja. This thing is great.. It has over heat protection and the remote is RF (I think - it's not IR anyway - direct line of sight is not needed).so if I had this on the video shoot all would have been well. This thing is great and well worth the money.

    This product stopped working after charging it the first time. The unit itself charges but the screen on the remote doesn't work after that first charge. The buttons still work but I don't know what settings are because the screen is dead.

    I really wanted to like the Telesin C40 fog machine. It worked decently the first couple of times, but within a month it completely stopped functioning. For something that’s supposed to be part of a production kit, reliability is key — and this just doesn’t deliver.

    When I reached out to the company for support, I received the usual copy-paste troubleshooting tips that didn’t help at all. No real effort to stand behind their product or offer a meaningful solution. Just generic advice and radio silence when those didn’t work.

    If you’ve got money to blow and only plan on using it once or twice for a shoot or an event, maybe it’s worth the gamble. But if you need something dependable, that you can trust to work when you need it — do not buy this product. There are better, more durable options out there.
