Tastes amazing!
The Talcufon cold-pressed freeze-dried lime juice powder is a staple to have in the kitchen! It's gluten-free, non GMO, with no added sugar, fillers, or preservatives. Each scoop (comes with the scoop) is just 10 calories and provides 15 mg of vitamin C. I tested it with half a cup of water and about a tablespoon of powder, and it smelled and tasted amazing- like fresh lime juice. The pure, tangy flavor is perfect for so many recipes. I can't wait to use it in guacamole, salsa, and even bruschetta. It's also ideal for margaritas! With the package being 284 grams, this powder will last a long time. This is a must for anyone's pantry. I would love to try a lemon flavor as well or any other kind.

    First is flavor. This tastes like lime popsicle or lime cool aid or lime jello... a somewhat 'candy' version of lime. Not sure why. That could be very nice, and I am excited to try it in more treats like 'lime creamsicle' ice cream or lime gummy bears. I would not use this for cocktails. It does not taste like fresh squeeze lime juice for me. I have "True Lime" packs that do indeed taste like fresh squeezed lime. I might suspect there is a massive press used, and they squeeze the whole lime... including the rind, and so some of that oil flavors the juice. Second comment... Ditto to other people on the stupid ridiculous scoop included. The Global Warehouse world we live in make this a pricy object where I am located, at close to $30, but I would also never find this in a local store in a million years so...

    I'm used to a different product that advertises itself as real lime juice. Having compared this to that, this tastes like lime juice, while theirs tastes like lime flavour.

    Mostly use the product to mix in with beverages to add a dash of lime when we forgot the fresh limes. It works very well and would be willing to purchase again.

    The lime powder dissolves quickly and tastes very good. I omitted one star because the full bag weighs 284grams but that is including the weight of the bag. The serving size says 1 scoop = 2 grams but the scoop that comes in the bag holds 30 grams of powder. 2 grams of powder fits in a 1/2 tsp. So giving the serving size as 1 scoop instead of 1/2 tsp. is confusing. Further confusion is added with the recipe they have on the bag indicating 4 scoops of powder in a liter of water. If you use the scoop provided you would be putting 120 grams of powder in a liter of water which would be undrinkable. When they say 4 scoops they must mean 4 serving size scoops which amounts to 2 tsp. Fix the info on the bag or provide a 2 gram scoop instead of a 30 gram scoop and you've got a good product!

    Look. It's some good potent lime powder, and I like it as a substitute to the real thing, but the information on the bag could be mis leasing.

    It's the same situation as their own brand's lemon powder. From their lemon bag, I managed to get some incredible Sour Slushy base from it, but... it was so potent I ended up having to make 4 times the slushies I intended to to not throw it away.

    Their included scoop is huge, more towards 24g than the 2g the portion would suggest. According to their "scoop" and packaging, it means that you roughly have something worth 13 or 14 limes or lemons in their bags, but I don't know much about that, and considering the potency of the powder, it seems way off. The package tells you one scoop is 1 lime pr lemon, but it's definitely not. One scoop might be worth 4 or 8, who knows?

    What I can tell though is that I used two scoops of the lemon one thinking it would taste like two lemons, then throw one Liter of water at it to have some sour lemonade base for my slushies. That thing was sour, very potent. I diluted it in 3-4 times more juice, and it was still sour. So, please do test on smaller quantity first... ;)

    The lime powder could work while used diligently in a dry rub, but I guess it's mostly going to be used as a juice replacement.
