We just moved out here in the stix and never thought about poor cell signal (duh!). My sister works from home and consistent, good cell coverage is critical. We bought this little gem and had a friend install it up on our roof and we've had great signal ever since. I went from one bar (two at most) up to full bars most of the time (occasionally will go down a bar, but never all the way down to one bar). I totally recommend this item. The friend who installed it on the roof bought a cheaper version, but it hasn't worked for him. He's waiting for a sale and will be buying this one for himself. Note, I installed/used a cell tower finder app before we installed the booster so I knew exactly in which direction to point the unit.

We have terrible reception in our home, especially in the basement, which makes WFH problematic if wired internet goes down. Bought the booster to try and address this - and ultimately it seems to make a difference, although it's not necessarily dramatic. Surprisingly, it helped most with data uploads. Details as follows:

- We installed the antenna on the roof, pointed towards the nearest cell tower
- We placed the base station in the basement
- With the booster turned off, speed tests got me around 1-3Mbps down, and 0-1Mbps up
- With the booster turned on, standing right next to the base station I get 5-10 Mbps down, 15-20 Mbps up
- With the booster turned on, standing in the furthest corner of our basement (around 8 meters), I get 4-6Mbps down, 5-6Mbps up

Ultimately it seems to definitely make a difference, even though the gains are not as dramatic as we hoped - and it's particularly weird that being 8 meters away from the base station had such an effect on speed. Still better than not having the booster!

The instructions indicate you need to have 25' of separation between the antenna and the hub. This was very difficult to do in my installation and with the 50' of cable that was provided. It didn't provide much of a boost to my signal (perhaps because of the less than optimal installation). I am in a remote area with a lot of tree coverage. There was a slight amount of boost, which perhaps could be attributed to this unit, but not worth the cost, so i returned it. It was recommended i get a more powerful unit than this one. I have yet to explore those options.

This unit was purchased because I wanted to buy a new product, not a similar but refurbished item from Weboost. The unit I received, although not advertised as a refurbished product, was repackaged and defective (faulty power connector; product housing not assembled properly - or dropped; status lights that do not behave according to installation instructions or troubleshooting guides; intermittent boosted signal does not improve call reliability). I contacted SureCall Customer Service and they won't fix/replace the unit.
AVOID BOTH THE MANUFACTURER & SELLER!!!
