Instant hot chocolate
Packs are portable and open easily, preparation is simple, you'll just need a cup, a spoon and hot water, the drinks takes a bit of effort to fully dissolve. Flavor is nice, think like a sweet hot chocolate with some caramel hints, I liked it. So if you're looking for an instant portable hot chocolate drink pack with low calories, I recommend you give this product a try.

    Unlike Maxwell House's Ice Latte mix, this one doesn't foam up by itself on contact with water. Instructions call for use with steamed milk, which most looking at instant powders probably lack access to. Pouring just milk as indicated by the product images will yield a completely flat watery drink. Personally, I don't have a milk steamer but used an electric frother instead which probably made it more foamy than intended.

    The taste itself is enjoyable. It is a bit chocolatey with a hint of caramel. The chaga mushroom portion is not noticeable. It might as well be absent. Anyone who made Chaga teas before by boiling chunks of the mushroom would tell you it tastes like dark red colored water. My gripe with the mix is that the included Stevia doesn't give it enough sweetness. Add a splash of honey for that extra kick.

    Unfortunately, this is yet another Superfun mix I would likely not repeat. If I have to go through all the steps to prep it, I might as well make the caramel latte properly.

    The Superfun! - Salted Caramel Instant Hot Chocolate tastes decent but suggest you boil both hot water and milk in order to prepare. This is not disclosed in either the listing details or images other than a line that says just add milk which is why I rated this lower. Functionally it tastes good when prepared per the instructions but heating milk takes time so the instant branding is a bit of a misnomer. Value wise its a bit on the low side but it is sugar free so that probably adds a bit. Overall, I'd personally pass on this one but there is definitely a target audience for it that isn't me that will enjoy this product.

    Really surprised by this hot chocolate mix packs -- they mix up pretty well (not quite as well as store bought hot chocolate full of sugar), and tastes really nice -- not sugary sweet. You dissolve a bit in hot water, then add your favorite kind of heated milk, and you are good to drink. I liked to stir it periodically as I drank it to make sure it all dissolved. If you want a sugar-free chocolately drink that's made of healthy ingredients, this is a great option.

    This is pretty interesting, their take on making a traditionally unhealthy drink into a healthy one. Instead of sugar it is sweetened with stevia and they've added chaga mushroom powder to make it healthy. Chaga is known to boost the immune system and reduce inflammation which is much needed during the cold, winter season. The instructions says to whisk the stickpack with just a "splash of hot water" and then add steamed milk. First impressions, just opening the packet I can smell the intense cocoa flavour. I mixed it with hot water and noticed that it does not completely dissolve, but according to the information that's because the chaga powder is literally made from the plant and not some extracted chemical version. I have to admit, I did not drink until the end since I found the grainy parts hard to swallow. I made a vegan version by using steamed almond milk instead of cow milk and it was delicious and chocolatey. I did not taste much of the salted caramel, but I'm actually super happy it did not taste overly sweet as that's not my preference.

    I might be more sensitive to the taste of mushrooms, but the chaga flavour in this salted caramel hot chocolate was quite strong. I was expecting a sweeter, caramel-forward drink with a hint of salt, and the chaga more in the background. The earthy, bitter taste of the chaga was definitely prominent. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it wasn't what I was anticipating. I've tried other superfood drinks with lion's mane and similar ingredients, and that earthy flavour can be tough to mask. Adding a bit of cream helped mellow it out, and it made the drink much more enjoyable for me.
