The reason I was skeptical was that item count.. 300+ items huh? 120 of which are just resistors. However after receiving and opening the kit, the substantial parts are actually really great quality. I'm quite familiar with modules from Sparkfun or Adafruit and the ones included in this kit are on par, just generic versions. The Arduino UNO R4 Wifi is however, genuine, with pinouts silkscreened to all the headers on both sides.. what a luxury! This will be important for those new to Arduino. This version of the Arduino was just introduced in June 2023 and is the latest board and is very powerful. This is a great kit if you want to start developing and programming on this new hardware. If you're new to Arduino do note that older Arduino models like the original UNO and Mega have had many years of development by lots of people so there's a lot of libraries and sample programs out there. Not all those existing libraries will be compatible with this version until the authors or others create new versions. All for the newbies, you'll need to make sure that you have access to a computer and internet as you'll need to download the Arduino IDE development software, then the updated board in Tools->Board Manager->search 'UNO R4'. Then play away as you'll see some example programs under File->Examples. With this board you'll be able to set up your own webpage that you can access with your computer or your phone. You can turn lights and motors on/off from the webpage or monitor temperature or humidity and track it over time. The parts included in this kit and some ideas of how to use them: fan/motor/temp sensor: trigger the fan to turn on if the temperature gets too hot liquid pump/soil tester: water a plant when the soil is too dry keypad/RFID tags/led strip/amp/speaker: an alarm system with strobing red/blue lights and siren noises Other noteworthy nerdy things..all the modules already have soldered pins, the 1602 LCD actually has a proper I2C board on the back, the breadboard power supply is USB-C and has a built in lithium battery so once charged it will run your Arduino with no power supply. I like that they included a couple of bare IC's.. a shift register and a motor driver.. gotta teach that chips don't always come on pre-made boards. Overall a very well thought out component list, it will offer countless hours of fun learning!

    The kit includes a great selection of components for experimenting with Arduino projects, which is a big plus for beginners. However, many of the jumper wires and resistors don't make reliable connections with the breadboard. The wire gauge and breadboard slots seem mismatched, leading to frequent loose connections. This issue means I often have to troubleshoot by adjusting wires and components, which disrupts the learning experience. I bought this kit to explore coding and electronics¡ªnot to spend time tracking down poor connections. It¡¯s frustrating to write code that should work, only to waste time wiggling parts to diagnose the problem.

    EDIT: So, I had a bit of a challenge getting them a video of the issue, but we managed to figure it out and they sent over a new kit. That alone is enough to bump it up to 5 stars! I would have updated sooner, but unfortunately, a postal strike delayed the delivery. But hey, the new kit arrived today, so all¡¯s well that ends well!

    This is a great Arduino Kit that comes with an original Arduino. Unfortunately, this is my first such set, so I have nothing to compare it to. All I can say is that I found a few problems:
    - GY-87 IMU Module is not working. When uploading a sketch, I see a message that the MPU6050 is not found. (Maybe this is because the Arduino Uno R4 is new and not all components work with it.)
    - the Stepper Motor does rotate in one direction but does not want to rotate in the other. It seems as if the gear inside has been erased.

    These points spoil the overall experience a bit, but I still recommend this kit if you want to play around with Arduino a bit.
