Easy Draining Legs
Sprouting really is as simple as rinsing seeds twice a day for 3-5 days. With easy draining legs that process is faster than ever because one jar can be draining while you're filling the other. Easy peasy.
Rust-Proof Surgical-Grade Mesh
Top-of-the-line 316 mesh with 1mm spacing is fully embedded in a protective ABS rim. This ensures the glass can't scratch the stainless steel, so you never have to worry about a rusty lid.
Foodsafe ABS Resin Rim
Premium food-safe ABS provides a tough and durable lid. It's the same material as the interior lining of your fridge and is designed to last the long haul. All while ensuring that the mesh is almost exclusively the only material to touch the seeds.

Control Light for Different Sprout Types
Not all sprouts prefer the same amount of light. While green leafy sprouts love indirect sunlight the whole time, you need darkness to grow long, sweet, juicy bean sprouts. Many sprouts actually prefer darker conditions, including beans, legumes, grains, and soaking nuts.
Protect your Jars
The only work at all in sprouting is holding a jar under running water for a moment, so it's not surprising that in a wet sink some extra grip could help. Fortunately, the Sun & Sprouts blackout sleeves (patent pending) both add that extra bit of grip as well as a little extra padded protection for the glass jars from accidental bumps.

At 950ml, the sprouting jars are the perfect size for most families—9.8 cm wide by 16.5 cm tall, and a standard 7.6 am (3") wide-mouth mason jar opening. For reference, that's almost big enough to fit an apple through.
Requires Less Counter Space
For most of us, counter space is at a premium. So we designed our tray to be compact, so it's easier to leave out on the counter to remind you for regular use, rather than hiding away in a cupboard.
