Great product. Would definitely recommend!!!
- Reviewed in Canada on December 19, 2022Verified PurchaseFor my 2011 Ford Escape, Watched the video for instructions on how to. Easy installation of cables once the steering wheel cover is removed. Took me several attempts to program as I was following the video instructions. Because my car is 2011, the programming is slightly different but it clearly indicates how in the instruction manual. Had it for a week now and works great ! Well worth it and hopefully will continue to work for a long time.
- Reviewed in Canada on October 6, 2024Verified Purchase5/5 star but would greatly appreciate if the manufacturers put more information when it comes to installing the device. like specific do and don't.
took me 20 min to install and place all the device and 1hour just to figure out the programming
- Reviewed in Canada on December 26, 2022Verified PurchaseI’m fairly comfortable doing things like this and it ended up taking about 30 minutes to install in my daughter’s 2016 Ford Escape. Very simple to do. Programming with the two keys took me three tries. Each unsuccessful attempt really wasn’t much of a set back. Just have to unplug the unit and perform three steps again. Works as advertised. Recommend.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 2, 2025Verified PurchaseInstalled in minutes in my 2013 escape. 2 screws from the bottom of the steering column was all it took. The programming is what took me the longest and that's on me. I don't know if I was too slow or what the first time. I kept trying and trying and it just wouldn't work then I saw at the end of the manual there is a master reset procedure which I followed and then programming worked the next time I tried it. The actual wiring install was maybe 15 minutes the programming half an hour. The only downside to this starter which it states on amazon is that the range is only the range of your existing key fob. My wife only wanted to be able to start the car in her driveway so that's fine with us. There is an extra wire that says RF kit so I'm assuming you can get a range extender or phone kit if you choose
- Reviewed in Canada on November 23, 2022Verified PurchaseBought one of these for my older 2012 Ford Escape. Kit was complete with all cables /adapters. 100% plug and play. Install was less than 5 minutes. As others have stated it takes longer to take the steering wheel covers off. I also removed the dash panel below the steering wheel. It pulls out from the top as the bottom has hinges, gives you lots of room for connections and installing the cables for the starter. Had to program several times but was able to get it to work. My fault for not thoroughly reading the instructions. Simple to operate and appears to be good quality.
- Reviewed in Canada on November 7, 2023Verified PurchaseFirstly, the instructions are not that great. The written instructions are minimal and the video links to an F-150 installation, which they say is the same, but accessing under the panels is a different in an Escape. I had to watch a different company's video to learn how to access under the panels. The real issue was the programming - I was able to get through most of the instructions, but in the end, it didn't work. Here's the kicker - they don't offer phone support even when asked. So it was a bunch of back-and-forth emails that didn't solve anything. Eventually I was told to uninstall and plug back in the original components. Unfortunately, that didn't work and now my car won't start. This is not a good situation. I'll update this post if they can help me, but until then - buyer beware.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 9, 2025Verified PurchaseI put this in 2 days ago and yes it took 3 or 4 trys to program it and it worked great for 1 day. Then today on the 2nd day when I pull my key out of the ignition it dings like the key is still in and the remote starter isn't functioning. I guess I've got to go through all the hassle of removing it and returning it to 鶹.....what a pain in the arse!****update I removed the bottom panel on my Escape to remove the starter and the chime telling me the key was in the ignition stopped and the remote start begin working again, must have been a loose connection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Takes time to install & might need to call for support but this unit is truly plug & play for me.
Verified PurchaseBought this for a 2008 Escape.
It took me awhile to install this after watching their videos & other ones too. Good support system & was helpful when called but eventually I figured it out myself. Wife happy for winter defrosting & summer AC.
Great value for the money!

5.0 out of 5 stars Took me 30-40 Minutes
Verified PurchaseFinally! Something easy and straight to the point. Bought for a 2018 Ford Escape. Price is above fair for what you’d pay for a professional to do it. I will recommend to have some basic mechanical background. It took me 3x to get the key programming correct, it’s all in the timing. If you do each part, stop and read the directions then the programmer will be out of synch. Practice it and then just do it straight through! Wife is happy and the process to get it start is flawless in my opinion.
Don’t be confused by after you have it started remotely. The door are locked so your vehicle will be secure while it cools/warms up. Soon as you get in, the car will shut off when brake is applied. This is where you’ll insert your key, start your vehicle normally and then off you go!
Definitely buying for my F150 now!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good alternative
Verified PurchaseBought for my car and it was harder to install than expected. It worked great once install. And great alternative to paying a garage a lot more money to get remote start

5.0 out of 5 stars Install guidance is vague but not impossible
Verified PurchaseTo do it yourself... you should be fairly savvy and intuitive.
Hardware is easy if you can make sense of what the connections look like on the vehicle and basically where they are at. The end goal is to put this unit in between the connections, integrating it into your ignition system. It's all going to basically be in the column of your vehicle, and up near your key ignition for the (Key chip sensor). The OBD wire set is to allow integration into the vehicles system while still allowing access to the OBD port.
The manual has the basic information serving multiple models of each make. There is one video example for the fords that serves all of the models. The video didn't completely apply to my 2017 Escape or 2014 F150.
Just make sure for the year of escape you're programming that you have the right color combination showing on the unit when programming the newer models of Escape. I was expecting-like the video showed- to have red, yellow and blue show when programming. It dawned on me that I needed to hold the programming button until only the red and Blue showed, then I would need to release it. Then finish my last connection. (Same with my f150).
Escape install time was 45 minutes fumbling slightly. 20 minutes programming it because I wasn't getting that I was using the wrong color combination. After the Escape, my F150 took 10 minutes install and program, 5 minutes getting the the connections. The second install was way easier because I knew what to expect, and the connection locations and connectors are similar.
The company would benefit from going into more detail in their install manual for more successes.
However, I'm happy with the system. It works well and I get to use factory keys. Now to see how long it lasts!
