I have owned this blender for a few days now and my wife and I are quite happy with how this unit blends and grinds. I use it to make smoothies; I use frozen bananas along with frozen berries. This unit has no issues grinding the frozen fruit. In fact, I feel this unit performs much better than the one it replaces. The design is much better. With this blender the blade unscrews from the glass and then there is a lid. 3 speeds... grind, speed 1 and speed 2. I'm finding my smoothies are coming out much more blended. The base is large but not so much that it looks gaudy on your counter. Two cups, two lids and two blades are included. I hope this unit will last me a long time.
