    This Multipot is a real gem. I can sauté, steam, stir fry, deep fry, boil, braise and make eggs and bacon in the morning.
    I use it to make soup, rice, polenta, spaghetti sauce and cook pasta. I've also used it for making chutney and zucchini relish.
    And clean up is so easy since nothing sticks.
    It's large enough to make a nice meal for a small family, but I can see it being very convenient for a single person.
    It heats up super quick. There is little or no splatter when frying because of the deep bowl and high sides. It has good heat retention so cooking oil maintains set temperature when deep frying, making the job fast and easy and providing great tasting results. (See my video deep frying breaded zucchini steaks.)
    It has earned a prominent position on my kitchen counter and I've used it almost every single day since receiving it. Definitely one of my best purchases!

    For my purposes, I wanted to minimize my appliances since I live in a small place. I also wanted something that could replace pots, pans, wok, rice cooker, etc. Of course, something that was non-stick also, since who needs the hassle. Lastly, something that was independent of needing a stove to use is a must for me.
    Overall, something to simplify my life.

    Having used this a few times I would recommend it for these purposes. I've cooked eggs, stir fry, rice, meats and it works very well for these.

    On the plus side:
    . Non-stick is very good - just hope it will last, although no reason to think it won't. Silicone utensils are best.
    . Certainly versatile. Looking forward to many more uses.
    . Very quick to heat up and reasonably good at keeping at temperature.
    . It's certainly big enough for any of my purposes.

    On the con side:
    . I find any of these appliances that you can't take the pot from the heating element, in order to clean, a pain. I know they can be made to take the pot, griddle, etc. off to clean, since I have one and it's fantastic to clean. That being said, the non-stick to clean is very good.

    So overall, a good appliance to have on hand. The only alternative I would look into is a one-pot, although I know they would be more expensive.

    I bought the first pan at the beginning of August. By the end of November, the coating had peeled off over an area of about 1 cm square. I checked whether the surface could still hold its shape by boiling some water, and an even larger area peeled off elsewhere. The heat turned the already peeled surface brown. The brown stain you see on one of the bottoms is not a trace of burnt food, it's the aluminum of the pot that has oxidized!
    I had read the reviews and several mentioned problems with the coating. I figured I'd picked up a lemon, so I took a chance and bought another pot at the end of November. And at the end of January? Same problem.
    I was careful to use only wooden or silicone utensils, not to rub the surface when washing, not to use salt or create temperature differences, not to heat on empty, and so on. But it only took two months to achieve this result.
    So... I strongly advise against it.
    If you still want to use it, there are some positive aspects... AS LONG AS THE BOTTOM HOLD!
    POSITIVE: even at full capacity, it heats up very well. It's lightweight and easy to clean. If, like me, you bought the square electric skillet, the power cord is the same, so that's a positive point in terms of uniformity. By the way, the pan didn't peel.
    NEGATIVES: apart from the coating, which is a complete lie (The Rock... pfff!), avoid using it for small quantities of food/liquid because the pan isn't made for that. Why avoid small quantities? Because the pan has a minimum temperature of 200 degrees and this heat is too high for 1-2 cups of water. I made a recipe with 2 cups of liquid and had to almost double the amount of liquid over the 10-minute cooking time simply because the "heat" was too high. For small quantities, I ended up buying an electric ring (spiral type) and a small saucepan. I'd say that anything under 3 cups (750 ml) shouldn't go into the pan. Anything above that, no problem. Also, the denser the mixture, the better. Soup will boil faster than simple water.
