Plug in your power cord flat against the wall The low-profile extension cord has a right-angled NEMA 5-15 plug that sits flat against the wall. This lets you save clearance room when plugging in your device behind a cabinet, desk or other piece of furniture. You no longer need to push up against the plug so that your furniture isn't sticking off the wall. This avoids putting strain on the plug and protects it from damage. You can use it to extend any NEMA 5-15 power cord (computer, TV, office lamp, etc.) that needs to be plugged into a power outlet located behind a piece of furniture. Free up unused outlets and replace bulky power plugs The right-angle power cord also lets you maximize the space on your power strip, surge protector or wall outlet. Since the plug sits to the right of the outlet, the outlet below it or above it isn't blocked which comes in handy when you have to plug in a device with a large, bulky power cord. You can plug the bulky power cord into the receptacle of the extension cord and plug the right-angled plug into the outlet, freeing up another outlet that would have otherwise been blocked. This was purchased to use behind a wall mounted TV. An electrical outlet was placed behind the TV so that the power cables for the TV and the wall mounted sound bar could be hidden.

The power cable for the sound bar was not a right angle plug and could not be plugged in without affecting the tilt and level of the TV. This was a perfect and cheap solution.

Very happy with the design and quality of this plug. It uses a heavy gauge wire but is still flexible enough to be maneuvered as required.

Much cheaper solution than buying a new cable for the soundbar power supply, or reworking the electrical box to use a recessed unit. No cons I can think of.

Highly recommend!

Low profile "extension" cord reduces space between wall and furniture and reduces cable strain

We all have an outlet hiding behind some piece of furniture that has something plugged into it, preventing the furniture (bed, bookcase or whatever) from being as close to the wall as we would prefer. Just shoving the furniture harder against the wall isn't a good solution as you might damage cords. These are short extension cords with a 90 degree plug at the wall side so you can put things closer to the wall and not damage cords. My favorite part is that the cord is a true right angle from the wall, so it doesn't matter if you have old style (ground pin down) or new style (ground pin up) outlets in your home.

The Good:
- Short, 0.3 m extension cords with a low profile right angle wall plug.

The Bad:
- You'll have a hard time convincing yourself to inspect these periodically once they are installed.

The Meh:
- You're never going to see these once you install them. You should probably inspect them once a year though just to make sure nothing is backing out of the wall or the cord. Checking them is on the same schedule as replacing the batteries in my smoke alarms.
