- Reviewed in Canada on May 24, 2025Verified PurchaseSad to see this fantastic Star Trek show, one of the best of the new batch these past few years. These episodes wrap up the series very nicely, with the usual impressive Easter-egg-per-episode count, not to mention actual plot points & characters, all throwing back to the decades of Trek canon with both humour & reverence. These give the shows a high re-watchability factor, to see if you missed anything, as the gags & references come at such a rapid clip. I now have all 5 season Blu-Ray sets, with no risk of ever having buyer's remorse, because I know I'll be watching again & again. Bravo, Lower Deckers, and thanks for the ride!
- Reviewed in Canada on April 7, 2025Verified PurchaseA 10 episode season which follows the [former] lower deck crew as they begin their ascend in ranks and are now on the bridge.
One of the last episodes contain a bunch of Star Fleet personnel that you know of.
Also includes a 25 minute featurette on the second disc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cerritos Strong
Verified PurchaseThe Cerritos crew are tasked with the seemingly tedious job of repairing subspace rifts like potholes in space. Picking up where season 4 left off this final season is a great send off for the Cerritos crew though hopefully they'll return elsewhere someday. Excellent animation and some very funny episodes I can't help feeling that maybe part of the reason the show was cancelled was because only Star Trek fans got the joke and feels underrated compared to long running adult animated shows like The Simpsons and Family Guy. Some fun references for Trek fans to spot and great guest stars including Brent Spiner as Data, Garrat Wang as Harry Kim, Alexander Siddig as Dr Bashir, Jolene as she's now called as T'Pol and Andrew Robinson as Garak bringing in the Star Trek multiverse.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Addition to Trekkers' Home Video Collection!
Verified PurchaseThe fifth and final season of “Star Trek: Lower Decks” sees the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos investigating transdimensional anomalies to alternate universes. Meanwhile the recently-promoted lieutenants-junior-grade Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome), Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid), Sam Rutherford (Eugene Cordero), and T’Lyn (Gabrielle Ruiz) consider the choices they’ve made in the context of meeting alternate versions of themselves. D’Vana Tendi (Noël Wells), having departed the crew in the previous season, finds her way back after making amends with her Orion family.
Just as previous seasons used animation to bring back actors and characters between the events of the TNG films and “Picard,” so too does the fifth season of “Lower Decks.” Returning cast include Brent Spiner as Data, Jolene Blalock as T’Pol, Andrew Robinson as Garak, Alexander Siddig as Julian Bashir, Garrett Wang as Harry Kim, and Alfre Woodard as Lily Sloane while Mary Chieffo of “Star Trek: Discovery” plays a different Klingon character, K’Elarra.
The season starts off a little shaky, with some stand-out moments but otherwise generic stories, though it improves as it goes along. In a way, the series’ referencing of the TOS films helps make up for these weaknesses as the fifth TOS film is the most uneven of all. The ending is less a finale than a point where the audience leaves these characters who could still appear in future Trek projects, such as the proposed “Star Trek: Legacy.” This Blu-ray set is a great way to bring the season home and includes bonus features such as audio commentaries and “Lower Decktionary: Season 5.”
