How to extend the life of your grill?

❅ Make sure to clean your grill parts before using.

❅ Try to get as much liquid off as possible before placing the food on the grill and if using a BBQ sauce, wait until the last 5-10 minutes of grilling before applying it to your food.

❅ Avoid using excessive marinade and applying BBQ sauce too early in the grilling process as it will result in the sugar burning causing a dark color.

❅ If you need to store your grill for a long period of time, heavily coat them in cooking oil, wrap them in a plastic bag and store in your covered grill.

Package was super HEAVY! Must have cost a lot to ship. The steel is very thick and solid, so very high hopes on durability. Fit perfectly into the Genesis II without any adjustment.     Replaced the stock enamel coated Weber Genesis II (2017) which were TOAST after just a couple years of (heavy household) use. Really really disappointed with the stock Weber flavorizer bars for the money paid for the grill!

    These SS units dropped right in perfectly and should be good for 20 years of use! Well packaged and came in mint condition. These are HD and should have been what came from Weber as stock.

    Very happy with the price/value for these bars.

    Stainless steel is not supposed to rust.
    I was very surprised to see that they started to rust within a day or two.
    The attached photos are from a day or two after they were first used.

    I do not use any chemicals when cleaning the grill, only the brush for the cooking grates.
    The grill is covered after each use.

    The other issue I have with these is you can hear the metal expanding and contracting rapidly, making a cracking sound when grease drips down on them. I'm not sure if these are thinner than the original ones.

    I don't think these will last and I'm very disappointing with it being labeled as stainless, I believe they are just polished.
