    Bought this for some fire grilling. Just started unpacking it. I want to love it. It looks great from afar. Seems to check the right boxes.

    The nut that holds the spring handle into the cooking grate frame on mine seems to be tapped the wrong size and begging to get stripped out on the first use and send the food into the fire. The welds on the nut look better than in other reviews but I guess we will see after I use it. I might make a ring with a set screw in it for a “minimum height” stop and if it fails maybe a helicoil can be used to fix it… should I have to be thinking about fixing a new product before using it?!?

    I was looking for a Grill/Grate for my fire pit and this one seems to work pretty well. My Fire Pit ring (from Menards) has a mounting point for accessories and the post that came with this fit just perfect with one minor modification. All we had to do was drill out the hole to fit the pin that came with the fire ring (see photo). After that the post fit perfect (it is upside down but no big deal). The Grill portion is nicely sized and the grate can be removed for cleaning etc. Not sure I will use the pot holder section but we will see. My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to put better welds on the nuts that the friction handles screw into. I can see where these will eventually break as others have suggested. As soon as I can, I will have someone reinforce those welds. For the Price, I did expect a little better construction. But all in all, not horrible and worked the way I wanted.
