Good value alternative
I've been using wooden sticks for bbq skewers for years. I thought I would give these metal ones a try. Upon seeing them the first time, the quality looks questionable. They're thin and for a stainless steel it looks dull. I mean steel can be polished, but they are not and because of that they don't look like stainless steel. I've tried to bend it with one hand to see just how strong they are, and they were much better than expected. With the old wooden bamboo sticks I used to use, they can be snapped without much effort, but these metal ones only bent a little bit and I used much more force than the wooden ones. So me being skeptical of the quality, I personally won't put them in the dishwasher. Which is disappointing because who wants to hand wash every single sticks. These sticks are straight with no bumps or grooves, so I expect the the food to slide out very easily when it's time to eat. At $13 for 30 skewers, I think that's a decent deal. Unless you're hosting for friends AND families together at once, I think 30 skewers are enough for most occasions. And I would expect these will last a long time. It could pay for itself within a year of you bbq enough.
