- Reviewed in Canada on May 23, 2025Verified PurchaseWe fit this over a toilet that had very little room on either side and no solid wall to attach it to. We've been using it for almost 18 months and it continues to work effectively without having to be adjusted again. Also broad enough to accommodate bigger bodies.

- Reviewed in Canada on October 22, 2023Verified PurchaseOriginal review upon purchase:
My husband and I set the rail up yesterday. We encountered a few problems and frustrations.
The biggest problem was that it came with the parts secured together with a very sticky very thin tape. We were able to unwrap some of the tape to get the rails apart but a great deal of it adhered to the white metal rails. We tried everything to get the tape off but nothing worked. As we tried to pick at it some of it came off in tiny little shreds. We tried scrubbing, glue-be-gone, alcohol, acetone, paint thinner, a heat gun and a plastic scrubber. Nothing would get this sticky plastic and glue film off. What a mess! So I am now stuck with a railing that has sticky tape (6" width) in four places. Over time this will attract dirt and look awful. We were very upset that a sticky tape would be used to hold the rails together. A plastic wrap without the sticky glue would have been sufficient.
Further to this, it was almost impossible to put the centre crossrail on. We finally resorted to a rubber hammer to get the pieces to go together.
Design issue: The rail sits too far back which means I have to reach my arms backwards to get a hold to sit down or stand up. This puts me off balance. When I try to move the rail unit forward, the centre rail is then too far out and hits my legs. The design needs to be changed so that the handles come forward more so that you can grab them when you are standing in front of the toilet, ready to sit down, without having to reach back.
Another design problem is that the centre cross-rail is too high. It sits high just below the rim of the toilet bowl instead of tucking under the bowl. We have an extra high toilet as well so this should not happen. A further problem is that the side suction cups, which are meant to stabilize the rail to the toilet, are much too high and so they hit the round edge of the bowl. This means only one small piece of the suction cup connects with the toilet. It doesn't work like this. If they were lower they would contact the straight side of the enclosed toilet and secure nicely. Yes, I have a straight sided enclosed toilet so this should work, according to the description.
A design tip for the manufacturers: If you had made the rail height adjustable on the lower half of the rail unit as well (like on the upper half of the rail unit) I could have adjusted it to fit the toilet bowl. Why isn't there a height adjustment on the lower half? Maybe this would affect the stability?
The positive things about the railing are that the suction feet work very well. Also the glossy white paint is attractive (where it doesn't have sticky tape stuck to it). Overall the railing looks nice, is very sturdy and does the job in spite of the design problems.
This product works but you may want to look for a product that has more adjustment possibilities and one where you can move the railing handles a little bit forward from the toilet.

I want everyone to know that this company, TKing Medical, recently reached out to me to offer a full refund for the toilet safety frame. I felt this showed respect for my views and excellent customer service. I appreciated their response and prompt offer to rectify the problem. However, I declined the refund because, in spite of the design problems I mentioned in my review, the TKing toilet safety frame has proved to be very sturdy and helpful to me. Thank you TKing Medical!

- Reviewed in Canada on February 7, 2025Verified PurchaseWe found this toilet safety frame to be well constructed and does the job in providing appropriate support. We did experience a bit of a problem in that the shape of our elongated tall toilet did not have smooth sides. As a result the side support rods were not long enough and as a result the suction cups did not form a tight fit.
I contacted 鶹 who provided me with a contact for the supplier, who responded within one day and said they would provide me with longer support rods.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 25, 2025Verified PurchaseWe have this Toilet Safety Frame & Rails for about five months now, and it has been excellent for my parents’ safety and support. The adjustable height and width fit perfectly with their toilet, making it highly practical. Setting it up was hassle-free since no tools were needed, and it’s easy to move around for cleaning. Its sturdy and rust-resistant frame feels reliable and durable. I'll definitely recommend this.
- Reviewed in Canada on August 13, 2024Verified PurchaseWe bought one, and when we realized it was good quality, we bought another for my parent, who needed two.
Don’t get frustrated if the holes don’t match up when you’re adjusting the leg height. Just be patient and pay attention to what you’re doing, it does line up (And you don’t have to force anything.) And make sure you look at the directions when you’re securing the sides to the toilet bowl (There is a right way and a wrong way of doing it.)
Both of ours have been securely fixed to newer style toilets for a few months now, and we haven’t needed to tighten or adjust them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Made a huge difference to my life
Verified PurchaseI am disabled due to cancer treatment destroying my balance. I fall a lot so having a toilet that is easy to use has made a big difference. The structure is very sturdy and easily assembled. It took my husband less than an hour. My only one warning is that if unlike me you are not slim you may find it a bit narrow. My Auntie who has quite a large derrière would find it difficult and uncomfortable I think.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful
Verified PurchaseMy grandpa recently had surgery and is struggling with mobility, so I thought this would help him get some of his independence back. So far, it’s working really well. It is fairly stable, easy to use, and doesn’t take up too much room. The only thing is I didn’t pay enough attention to what type of toilet it is made for, so it sits a bit funny on mine. I’d suggest this is best for those toilets with pointy fronts :) Otherwise, my grandpa gets to use the bathroom by himself and my grandma can be a little less worried.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Perfect for those with Knee issues
Verified PurchaseI bought this for a family member who needs both knees replaced. It took me maybe 5 mins to assemble, it is very sturdy as it sticks to the tile floors. Position it carefully because the suction works really well and hard to remove once it grips to the floor which is a good thing! I also installed a raised toilet seat and together it's perfect for my family member. I tested it myself and although I don't need it, I found it more comfortable than having no assistance items. I recommend this to those who are in pain and need stability to move without causing more pain or the fear of falling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very sturdy
Verified PurchaseThis has worked much better than others we have purchased in the past. It is sturdy and feels secure, which reduces anxiety for the person using it. It has made his transition to a new home much easier.
