    I've had a fender acoustic bass and a fender fretless jazz bass that I sold 10 yrs ago. This squire bass was purchased so I could get back into playing. It plays as easily and sounds just as good as they did. The volume and tone controls are not as good a quality as my other guitars but for the price it is not bad. The guitar comes already strung with bronze strings and besides the guitar, the kit contains a Fender Rumble 15 amp, cable, strap and gig bag. The strap could be a bit longer for me but still works well. The cable is average quality. Overall a good kit for the price and if you want to learn bass or play with friends.

    bought this to learn bass and it a full kit.. Well sorta. Mine didnt come with the cable and strap as indicated but I had straps and cables from my guitars.. The amp is tiny but mighty and I will be upgrading later on, but for the price on a complete package its a great deal!

    I'm a complete beginner...never played bass before. I was afraid i might be getting a cheap instrument to start with, but I was so pleasantly surprised at what a nice bass this really is! It's a good quality bass that really sounds great! I was also afraid the amp that comes with it would be a real cheapo...but it's a really nice sounding amp! The kit also came with a coupon for 3 months of free bass lessons online at Fender.com, so I've really been enjoying learning how to play. I'm coming up on 30 days of lessons and still so happy to be learning and so glad I chose to buy this bass! My only complaint was that the strap that comes with the bass was not a very good one, so I bought a better one but, other than that, I couldn't be more pleased with it.

    Great bass overall only ding I have is the amp cord is garbage and I would recommend you take it to a music store to get the bass setup. If anyone who doesn’t know what that is the store will adjust the truss rod, adjust the string’s height to the fret, etc. also I recommend of getting a quality case especially people who live in high humidity areas because the neck will warp. But overall a great guitar for the money.
