This thing is beefy and well made; I got it for my stove outlet, so I can plug my welder in without having to unplug my stove all the time as the outlet is a little loose and don't want to mess it up since there is tiling there.

Be Aware of the Ground Pin Shape -- Not All Of Them Fit

The only problem I experienced is when attempting to plug a Pass & Seymour Legrand NEMA 14-50 plug into the receptacles on this adapter, the P&S ground pin, which is "U" shaped, simply would not fit into the adapter. I'm holding the P&S plug in the picture.
I had to disassemble the plug, remove the ground pin, and grind it smaller so it would fit into the grounding hole on the adapter. NOTE: I have two cables that I swap between a single NEMA 14-50R wall outlet. Have been doing this for years. The plugs obviously fit into the receptacle without issue.
Notice the grounding pin on the male plug is round, not "U" shaped. See the picture with circled pin. That plug easily plugs into its own receptacle. The receptacle has a "U" shaped hole, too. It's simply not large enough to receive all "U" shaped grounding pins.
After I narrowed the grounding pin on my P&S plugs, they fit into the Y adapter's receptacle. Strange.
Bottom line: not all NEMA 14-50 plugs and receptacles are made to the same dimensional spec. Why some have round grounding pins and others have U shaped grounding pins is a mystery.
