    It's a SONY sooo.....
    Good quality with better sound than the stock tuner (2016 Toyota RAV 4). Small issue that shouldn't be there in 2025; the clock isn't capable of staying on time. You have to adjust it every few days. I out a $100 JVC deck in my mom's Ranger that only had to be adjusted in the spring and fall.

    I bought this system and installed it on a convertible in the middle of the winter, all looked good and installation made reasonably easy with Crutchfield information and help. Sound is good, back-up camera works correctly, overall loved the system. However, six months later I realized that the screen is unusable when direct light hits it. I am stuck with a barely usable system, and have to use the phone display instead. I wish I had read the other reviews earlier.

    My stereo started to have issues with the Car Play and then the screen then the audio. The options for repair are limited. There wasp one place in the city I live in (pop. 95,000) but I’d have to have a hole in my dash for a few days maybe even weeks. Not acceptable. I asked for a refund but needed all the packaging (nobody keeps a room full of empty stereo etc boxes so that’s a ridiculous requirement. My advice: don’t buy from Gibby’s Electronics and don’t by Sony anytrhing. Save yourself the trouble and pay a little more from a local brick-and-mortar store. That way at least you might get acceptable customer service.

    installed this guy in my 1995 toyota t100. i have those flimsy pull out cup holders and of course one day it broke and dumped a bunch of dr. pepper all over the radio. Touch screen didnt respond, buttons were stuck. shot wd-40 in there and after a couple days the buttons were working normally again and touch screen working as it should so id say its pretty durable. the screen is easily visible unless the sun is shining directly on it which is expected and bluetooth always connects although sometimes it can almost 30 seconds. carplay connects just a second or two after plugging it in.

    Installed this Headunit in my first gen Trailblazer. Fits like a glove with a relatively cheap double din adapter. I had already had an aftermarket headunit installed but it was a single din. (Pioneer MVH-S522BS). My Pioneer had 4V preamp outputs, and I was expecting to have to mess with my gain settings on both of my amps but was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to touch anything. Despite the Sony having only 2V preamp outs, it has great sound quality, with no noticeable unwanted noise. The Sony also offers a hassle-free UI, and hardware experience. (Parking brake hook up). Overall, for it being an entry level Double Din Carplay unit, it works very well and is very responsive. One of the only downsides of this unit is the screen which uses a resistive touchscreen rather than a capacitive touchscreen, but it still registers touch very well.

    TL;DR
    Solid headunit for the price with little to no trade offs
