I'm very pleased with this purchase and the customer service people at Snailax have been helpful answering my concerns and questions. The motors all work and every function on the remote also works. Remote controlling the 4 modes three intensities and the warming function is pushbutton easy and all can be switched as often as I like during each session. There are also 4 buttons to isolate any one or any combination of four zones on the body; lower calf, upper thigh, shoulders, and neck. The unit will shut off should you fall asleep. I have been massaged out of aches and pains which accompany my partially disabling condition including muscle cramps of legs, back spasms and general tightness as well affects of nerve damage. After a few minutes on this mat I feel like new man. So, 5 stars of 5 stars.

    Wow this mat does exactly with it is suppose to do. That is a nice change to find. I am a senior with arthritis in my shoulder, knee , ankle and hand and I am always cold even in the summer. Sitting on the chair in my recliner I can feel the heat and massage going through my body and find it very warm and comforting. Seven out of the 10 times of use, I fall into a little sleep.
    This is a product that I will use every day not will not be going out looking for the heated massage chair now.
    No need to do that I have a portable massage that can follow me anywhere.

    Following a visit to some high-tech, luxury design store with his parents this past Christmas season, my 6-year-old nephew started obliviously greeting everyone he encountered with "Guess what I want? A $6,000.00 massage chair!"

    While everyone's initial response was to howl with laughter at the sheer ridiculousness of the request, it became clear that he was genuinely serious when it started appearing in the crayon artwork he would bring home from school and the Lego configurations strewn across his bedroom floor.

    Despite the unfortunate reality that the one he had his heart set on was never going to be an option, his letter to the North Pole did me in as it was prominently displayed at the top of his list alongside a detailed drawing of himself sitting in the chair. At this point, I was determined to find a suitable alternative but by the time I discovered this, it was too late for it to be received in time for Christmas. After accepting that his dream was not to be, he slowly moved on and stopped talking about it.

    With the arrival of his Birthday a full month later, I seized the opportunity to truly surprise him following all those weeks of giddy anticipation that ended in such a letdown. I was a little worried that he would be disappointed since it wasn't the coveted designer chair, however, once I explained that he could use it in different places like his bed, the couch in the living room, or the recliner in the TV room he was completely sold.

    We initially set it up on a bed and he climbed in waiting to see how it worked. The attached remote control has numerous settings and allows for a wide variety of targeted options to satisfy individual preferences - he had this mastered in seconds. The look on his face once it was switched on was priceless - it was absolute euphoria. His eyes actually rolled back as he let out a deep sigh and said: "oh, yeah… this really helps me unwind". I actually had to turn away to conceal my laughter as I watched this little boy morph into an old man!

    Soon, a line started forming as everyone took a turn with all the adults unanimously agreeing that they were wrong in their earlier mockery of his obsession with the massage chair. Three of those present have gone on to purchase a Snailax massage mat of their own; two of them struggle with pain management issues resulting from both an auto accident and a sports injury. They both strongly agreed that it did provide them with some relief from stiffness and difficulty getting comfortable in bed when trying to fall asleep. Of note, no matter which program you select, the mat automatically shuts down after 30 minutes. You can immediately restart it if you like, but this feature works well for purposes of a sleep aid.

    It comes in a functional box that doubles as a storage container and features a convenient carrying handle. A detailed user’s manual is included along with a certificate for a free two-year warranty. After a brief email exchange with the Snailax Customer Service Representative, my Nephew was all set and he proudly carried his new treasure to the car in its suitcase-like presentation box.

    It is now a fixture on my sister's living room sofa and receives daily use as my nephew insists it is the perfect spot for him to quickly relax and recuperate after walking in the front door following a grueling day spent in first grade.

    Hands down the best money I have EVER spent on a gift, period!
