- Reviewed in Canada on February 22, 2025Verified PurchaseThe installation process is straightforward, and the design is well thought out, with a conveniently detachable battery for easy charging. Integrating the Ryse Bridge with the Apple Home app enhances automation flexibility, allowing features like sunrise and sunset adjustments to adapt seamlessly to changing daylight hours.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 15, 2024Verified PurchaseThis is exactly what I needed, and it does exactly what it says it does.
The product comes with screws and drywall anchors, but I installed mine with 3M command strips so it can be taken down cleanly, and it works perfectly, no holes in my walls. This made it an absolute breeze to install, and I didn’t have to worry if I put it in a slightly wrong location, because I could just remove it and try again.
The app is simple, and it works. Though, if I haven’t interacted with the blind in a while, I have to attempt to connect to it exactly twice every time. It always works, just on the second try for some reason. I guess it assumes that the connection is still active, and it’s not, so the first attempt appears to not work.
A couple of gripes:
A single unit, with no bridge, can’t connect to more than one device. (Though I haven’t tried) so only one phone can raise and lower the blinds.
Secondly, it seems extremely expensive for what it is. It gets the job done, and I’d do my whole house, but the cost is a lot.
Third, a package insert indicated that I was eligible for a free button to raise or lower the blinds, but when I went to redeem it, it said that my 鶹 order number wasn’t valid.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 15, 2025Verified PurchaseI first contacted them mentioning some of my challenges for power blinds. 1st was two side windows on the patio being less than 1' wide. Most power blinds fit in something that narrow. 2nd challenge was my dining room having 9.25 foot windows. Last challenge was the existing blinds were known as zebra blinds (think of slitted blinds in a loop from top to bottom) how you lining the slits up from front to back lets some light through or blocks it. but this doubles the blinds.
I asked them all these questions especially the zebra part and they assured me it would work.
so I bought 13 units back in august of 2023.
I tried a couple and thought they may work but i needed a bridge, which took a few weeks to deliver. After i got it i found the bridge only supports 7 blinds (or maybe 10) so i had to get a second one. That took a few more weeks but kudos to them as they gave it to me for free.
Once i got it going it appeared to work for a while (a couple of months) but then issues started happening.
1) the chain stretches. I kept adjusting the motors downward to take away the slack but they kept stretching (metal chain btw). I even remounted the motors lower to take up more slack but they kept stretching. The tech support recommended i get blind chain pliers. They were over $100 on amazon. They again kindly offered to ship me some when they came in so i waited another month or two.
Once i received them i adjusted the chains (shortened them) with the tool which worked well.
Some stretching continue but also the units were jamming.
I was then instructed to try taking my blinds apart and cleaning the gears and lubricating with something like wd40. I did, painful. Also did not help.
I kept contact them and they kept repyling with ideas. They shipped spare sparts and later even shipped me new units without the batteries to try as they had made some revisions.
Still my blinds were skipping on their gear which messes up the alignment of top to bottom and made a ratcheting sound when they skipped.
Another wierd issue was the chain tension would get tight to very loose as the blinds were raised or lowered. This increased jamming. Considering the mechanism in the blinds is simply a looped chain that wraps around a gear at the top and then around the ryse gear at the bottom, that was somewhat confusing. I checked the blinds axis but it did not appear to be off center. They had no answer for that.
Whenever i was feeling like giving up they kept asking me to try new things or try new parts.
So on the good side their customer support to me was very good. Pranav mostly
On the bad side, due to them requesting i try new ideas and testing or waiting parts (a couple of times those got lost in shipping) they pushed the units past the warranty and would not entertain a refund partial or whole for the 13 units and bridge i purchased.
I tried to suggest that maybe these units are not good for the double blind style of Zebra blinds but they kept on insisting it would work.
So we dont use them. I removed them from most of the windows (at least the ones we daily open)
I am happy with Pranav and Sappho from tech support but not happy with how the company kept making suggestions for over a year until pushing it past the warranty and then denied me a refund due to me owning them too long, even though i spent my entire ownership trying to get them to work.
My suggestion is avoid these units if your blinds are heavier duty like zebra blinds or even if they are too long.
Perhaps they work okay for something like a 4' window and standard single layer blinds. I cannot say as all of mine are those zebra blinds.

- Reviewed in Canada on September 6, 2023Verified PurchaseIf you have string style, they won’t work. They work by setting a top and bottom but with the string (evening using their metal style tape) it consistently loses the top and bottom and either pulls it too high or too low. Frustrating.
Now that I changed to the beaded style it seems to work. Of course one of the 10 I ordered wasn’t working - I ordered a new one. They have changed the delivery date twice. Now that the second date has been missed it says ‘the product has not yet shipped’

- Reviewed in Canada on January 14, 2024Verified PurchaseI wanted automatic blinds and have a very large blind in my room but if I would have purchased a motorized blind it would have cost me hundreds so i opted to try this out. A little over priced due to the fact that the app is not the greatest and it doesn't come with a remote but it was able to open my big blind with no trouble. You have to set this up at the bottom of the cord and because my blinds are almost floor to ceiling, I had to set it up at the bottom which is a pain when I want to manually open the because I have to reach down to press the button.
It this had a remote it would be a game changer but unfortunately it doesn't. If you want automatic blinds but don't want to purchase a motorized on because of cost, this will do the trick.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 28, 2024Verified PurchaseI have only had it for a few days. So far it is working perfectly. I also purchased the smart Bridge so I have all of the features and functionality available from HomeKit. I have the shades opening at sun rise and closing at sun set. I also have the shades going down as soon at the room temperature reaches 20 degrees (C).
