Once installed on your vessel, it wirelessly connects up to four Mercury engines or an Avator electric outboard to the Mercury Marine app, transforming your mobile device into a digital command center for your boating adventures. You can use the app to view live performance data, track fuel burn, watch helpful content, plan maintenance and even share engine data with a preferred Mercury dealer. For Avator outboards, the app displays estimated range on a GPS map, battery level, digital gauges and more. SmartCraft Connect Mobile is compatible with 40hp and higher Mercury and MerCruiser engines model year 2004 and newer, 25hp and higher model year 2022 and newer, plus Avator electric outboards*. The Mercury Marine app is free to download for iOS and Android devices.*Module is pre-installed on Avator 20e and up.

Works great , use mercury connect app with the gear in logo to update the unit, then use mercury app (all black app logo) . Connects with no issues everytime , through an aluminum dog box over inboard jet. 8 feet to mount near steering wheel. No complaints

    This is a great module. It easily connected to the 10pin on my engine. It did take a little while to connect to my devices - but that's because I was trying to use the old Mercury app and not the new one like the instructions said. It was user error. Once I figured that out it was smooth sailing. I use it every time on my boat. Nice to have digital gauges now.

    The site combines reviews for VesselView and SmartCraft Connect. Most of the 5-star reviews are for VesselView. I should have paid closer attention. SmartCraft Connect is supposed to be a “new and improved” version, but it’s anything but. The install is very simple and it connected to Bluetooth on the second try. That’s where the positives ended. There is a new update that is supposed to fix all the issues mentioned in other reviews and finally add new gauges like VeselView had. Well, the unit won’t update. First of all, it has to be 3-5 feet from a WiFi hotspot to get good signal. I have a mobile hotspot, so that was resolved. The update process stops at Step2 and loses connection. I gave up after 4 attempts and returning the unit. The hardware seems good and the install is straight forward. However, the software and the app are horrible and feel half baked. I hope they improve this in the future, because it’s a great idea.
