About this item

  • Stretchable Mounting Point: The mounting point screw uses a retractable housing, and could quickly switch between 1/4"-20 locating screw and 3/8"-16 locating for ARRI screw without special operations so that the handle could attach to more camera cages and L plates.
  • Up / Down Adjustable: The handle can be adjusted up and down by 36mm (1.42 inches), to balance the center of gravity and avoid interference with cable mounts.
  • Left / Right Hand Universal: The handle is made of non-slip silicone material and features an ergonomic design. It can be quickly switched from left-handed to right-handed by the built-in wrench.
  • Strong and Durable Design: Mainly made of high-strength aluminum alloy, the stretchable mounting points are made of stainless steel material. Max Load capacity to 15kg.
  • Multiple Mounting Points: Built-in 1/4"-20 threaded hole for attaching ballhead magic arm (ID: 3873), 1/4"-20 locating hole for attaching ballhead magic arm (ID: 3875), strap hole for wrist strap (ID: 3848), cold shoe for monitor mount (ID: 2905B), LED video light (ID: 4055), etc.

    I've always read product reviews about new items being delivered used, but I never thought I'd see the day. Well that changed with this handle. The sticker was cut and obvious damage to the metal.

    This also does not work with the SmallRig half cage when you try to mount it on the left side

    EDIT: Small Rig came through and sent me a new handle. The ARRI - 1/4 combo screw is very useful 👍👍

    Got this handle to build out a cage for a Sony A9 III and I am loving it so far. I have used SmallRig cage components for years and with previous builds I used a similar but older side handle design that was much more squared off. This version provides a little bit deeper grip and significantly improved ergonomic design that allows a really firm but also really comfortable grip. Very versatile as well with the cold shoe and mounting points on it, I often use it to hold a shotgun mic with no issues. Really glad I decided to try this new version versus just sticking with my older model.
