I remember watching this show when it was on television waiting every week for the new episode to come on watching it. Now it’s kind of funny as the graphics and the science behind. It all is so outdated, kind of comical. That being said, the set itself is great. It plays on my Blu-ray player, and my PlayStation five. The only issue I have is the set does not have any English subtitles or any subtitles for that matter which may not be a big thing I prefer subtitles though. Also, the box itself is really odd not printed the same and all in paper envelopes. Such a poor idea every time you take out of one of these it’s going to scratch it I recommend looking for jewel cases that fit in the box and make your own interior casing.

    I started watching this show years ago when it was first broadcast on free tv.

    The tv station ran it only showed it for a year or two and it got bumped for something else.

    I waited a long time for this to come out on dvd so i could buy it.

    Worth the cost , a great show.

    Good discs; I watched all episodes, and there were no playback problems. The set was delivered about the end of the promised delivery date range.

    For the show itself, seasons 1 to 3 were enjoyable, season 4 was fairly good.
    Season 5 had only Rembrant from the original 4 cast members. Maggie was also present, which helped continuity. There were an additional two members of the sliding group, but they were not developed much by the writers and were very forgettable. I had trouble even remembering the name of Diana's character.

    Given the cost of buying seasons 1 to 3 individually, just buy this collection, as I did. Just don't expect seasons 4 and 5 to live up to the standard set by seasons 1 to 3.

    Many of the episodes are more cerebral: about the group dealing with a strange world and the results of that world making different choices; some action thrown in, but action was not the central point.
    Some of the episodes from season 3 and 4 have been more action-oriented; I think the cerebral episodes were more interesting.

    Sliders is a great sci-fi series worth checking out as it offers an interesting idea and some good casting with solid writing. The only reason why this series gets a 4/5 instead of 5/5 is due to the cheap transfers and packing provided by Milkcreek which seems to be a common issue with Millcreek TV sets as have had this issue with others I have bought too. They seem to only provide a single box with cards to hold the discs and jam too many episodes on each DVD so they do not look great and suffer from a loss of quality. Just bought Night Gallery box set which was produced by Universal and the episodes on this set are much better looking as they have great detail and colour which is lacking when Millcreek produces a set.

    Unfortunately if you want series you have to buy these Millcreek produced sets. Would still suggest Checking out this sci-fi series as the quality of the show can overcome the issues from Millcreek.

    Really simple packaging with no information (would be nice to have a break down of what episodes are on which discs), but I like how compact that the entire set is and it takes very little space on the shelf. This was one of my favourite shows in the 90s, so its great to have the complete series on disc and the price was excellent.

So slowly I get to buy them back one at a time. I do look for them on sale or at lower cost cause one doesn't get much on a disability...

    I watched this series on tv whenever I could find it, so I purchased the dvds as soon as I could, it it about a small group of travellers who go to different earths, that are similar to ours but having noticeable differences, it was canceled several times so the cast comes & goes, but is a great story, well worth watching.

    In an era where everything gets a reboot, a sequel, or a prequel, this gem sits untouched. The premise is fantastic. Quinn Malory (a brilliant physics student) develops a handheld device that opens wormholes to parallel Earth(s), after which he enters the portal only to find out he can't return to his Earth. Along for the ride are Prof. Maximilian Arturo, Wade Welles, and Rembrandt 'Crying Man' Brown. As the group "Slide" from Earth to Earth, they encounter some exciting alternate realities. This show is a must-watch for any sci-fi fan. I know there will never be a big-budget remake; I would have to slide to a parallel Earth for that.
