We've tried a few different kits from Skillmatics at this point but this one was by far the most unique and interesting. It contains 6 inflatable pieces which have "colouring book" designs on each side, as well as the markers that your child can use to colour in these inflatables. Once they're done, they get to use the included straws to inflate the pieces and get cute, 3D puffy images, coloured in by them. The inflatables are a decent size and more substantial than what I expected. It's a cute concept and one that I haven't seen before.

As with most children, our daughter loves to color. These put a fun and creative spin on coloring. They can either be colored before inflating them, or after. It is easier to color them in before inflating them, but also not quite as fun lol. The set comes with a variety of pieces perfectly fit for any princess fairytale. Our daughter is also a fanatic of unicorns so this was even more fitting. She still has some work to go to color in between the lines, but either way she's having fun and even able to play make-believe with the pieces afterwards.

It's okay - unique but impractical

I got this for my 6 year old daughter who loves to colour and draw. She also loves princesses and unicorns, so I figured this would be a winner. Overall, it kept her busy for a decent amount of time, but she lost some interest because of two things - the fact that you need to colour the front and back, and because the markers that come with this product do not work that well. I'm not sure if it is the markers themselves, or the material that you're colouring on, but the markers do not cover well, and they run out quickly. This was disappointing. Also, when you're done, the art can inflate so you can play with them or display them. This is a fun and unique concept, but for a mom of three kids with a crazy amount of art already, these just take up way more space than necessary. Overall, an interesting concept, but not really a winner for us.

We were so surprised by this kit—it kept my toddler happily occupied for a good chunk of time! It somehow managed to be even more fun than regular coloring activities, capturing my child's attention with its cute designs. We loved the added twist of being able to inflate the colored pictures and use them as story props. Though the markers could have been better quality for reuse, the inclusion of two sets helped ensure everyone could join in on the fun. Despite this, the inflatable pictures held their shape well, and the vibrant colors really popped. Plus, they stand up on their own, adding to the enjoyment. This was a hit with the little one!
