Good reusable liners with a big design flaw...
This review is for the regular (10 inch) size pads, in comparison to the small (8 inch) panty liners. I originally purchased these in 2019 and am finally writing a review to say that these hold up rather well. They are most definitely reusable, you'll likely get many years of use out of them, so a significant reduction in plastic waste and $ spent on disposable pads. They're very easy to clean: rinse them out under cold water until the water runs clear, then chuck them in the wash with your towels, etc. I've never had any of these stain, compared to a different, more expensive brand of cotton reusable pads which are permanently stained ever since the first use. Compared to the small (8 inch) liners from this same brand/seller, these pads fit way worse and have a big design flaw. Hopefully my pictures help demonstrate why. Both sizes are the same width (wing tip to wing tip), but the smaller liners have a narrower fleece/absorbent area. When the smaller ones are snapped closed, they lay perfectly flat so they fit in your underwear with no problem. But the regular pads have a wider section of fleece/absorbent fabric despite having the same size wings, so when they're snapped closed, they do NOT lie flat but instead bunch up like a tube. This makes them lumpy and uncomfortable in your underwear, and also makes them way more likely to leak because of the way the sides curve downwards! Total design flaw, I'd way rather recommend the liners because of this. I basically only use these as overnight pads because of this, but even still I've experienced them leaking. In terms of absorbency, if they don't leak they're great, they're just unreliable compared to the smaller size liners.

First of all, to those who are curious, no, this isn't a paid-for fake review. This is a very real legitimate review and I am going to talk about some personal things because that is just how much these pads improved my life.

I really feel like for a womens health product, it is important to know the starting point in order to really see the effects. Every month was not just an inconvenience of bleeding, but what came with it. Any women knows that accompanying periods are cramps, irritatation and swelling, bloating, aches and pains, sometimes even bouts of anemia and the feeling like you constantly have to pee. Sometimes there are more symptoms, sometimes less.

In the past few years, my symptoms had taken a drastic turn for the worse. My cramps had become debilitating and sharp, the flow became more unpredictable leading to some months with 'accidents' and ruined clothes. But the worst part of it all was the condition of the skin. I was using normal unscented disposable pads, the standard you get at the store and every month I had to go through a whole tube of relief cream for the insane itching, swelling and irritation caused by the plastic materials and ashesives on the pads. It felt like I was being sliced up and it got so bad that I was in tears and heavily contemplating going to a gyno to get a female viscectome to make it all stop.

Yes, I tried other methods to no avail. Switching to reusable pads was the last on my list to try before the knife. I wanted to wait a few months before making this review so I can give them a proper try. They influenced my well-being far more than I thought they would.

Not only has the swelling, itching, and irritation caused by the reusable pads nearly completely ceased (there is still a tiny bit but that I think is a more natural level), but my cramps themselves have even begun to ease month to month.

The part I was worried the most about was the potential mess and hygiene but I was so surprised by how superior these fabric pads are. They are far more efficient at absorption to the point where the blood is even kept to a smaller area on the pad and not wicked out towards the edges at all. With these pads, my periods are a much more contained and a far cleaner affair. No leaks at all.

I had picked up some mesh laundry bags dedicated to the pads and the washing process is also very simple and not messy at all. I use the wet bag that comes with the pads to store the used pads and then in the laundry dry. It has been completely mess-free and not gross at all.

Honestly, had I known my life would have improved this much, I would have gotten these sooner and not lived for so many years in so much pain and discomfort. The only real downside I see is that they aren't ideal to wear tighter pants/shorts with since it is a thick pad, but I am partial to baggy clothes anyways lol.

I bought these for my daughter but she found them too bulky she is 13 and new to this, so I took them thinking I might use them if I run out but in my head I was really thinking if they don’t get used in 6 months there out. The next month I actually ran out and had to use them in the middle of the night (daughters use up all our stuff and we’re like it’s 3am child!) I’m really happy she did though because they are now my go to, I’m actually here buying the panty liners to see if they are a bit shorter for her. I have the regular ones and they fit me great, I’m 150lbs 5’4 for reference.

The quality is amazing I really can’t stress this enough, I buy quality so when I buy things like this to try out I expect average to below quality materials and when this came I was like thank you quality!! These will last for years.

Now these are a wee bit thick at first but after you wash them several times they start to do the even softer sweatshirt thing (But thicker) it definitely is more than a regular pad but not enough for me to care because it breathes you never even notice it no chafing not too hot, that’s the best part they just feel like part of your underwear. Now they can shift a tiny bit because they are not stuck with glue to your underwear and I don’t use the tabs I find they work better with out for me but for airiness and comfort I prefer these to regular pads any day hands down (I’m a tampon girl because I hate pads so ya there amazing). As for absorption I use a 1 super tampon overnight and I can say I haven’t leaked or even felt like that was even possible. I think absorption would be in the range of 2-3 supers per pad.

The floral print on the outside and wings Is a soft silky fabric And the middle section is a soft micro fabric which I thought wouldn’t work very well from my experience with it over the years but I think the charcoal draws the moisture in better because it’s never moist.

They are my first pick now, who knew a reusable pad would change my whole thinking on this subject. I’ve been a natracare organic tampon user from way back like 20 years so that’s how good they are!!

Similar what other users have said, I wish I had found this years ago. Works great, washes well. I would not go back to disposable pads again.
