Was skeptical on ordering, but glad I did. Very well crafted. Saw some negative reviews on the sheath being flimsy, they may have updated that, sheath is decent in terms of quality. Blade also appears to be good, would have to field test it further. Handle and weight balance is good. Came sharpened. Nothing negative to say about this machete. Definitely puts my Gerber Gator machete to shame.

    Since the price finally dropped a bit on this machete, I decided to take a chance on one - even after reading all of the reviews left by others here on it.. and seeing all the pictures of the blade snapped in half - Im left wondering.. was it abused/misused? maybe a bad heat treatment in theirs? they just got a lemon that had weak spots? There seem to be a few of 1 star reviews that do not recommend this product. I still dont know exactly what to think as mine just arrived.. and I am giving it 4 stars right off the rip because the thing is bad ass! It came in perfect condition.. blade well oiled.. and razor sharp.. it is light weight.. full tang.. and the rubber grip feels great in hand! - and the unique shape and style of this machete instantly made this a "must have" addition to my collection.
    I have other machetes for general to heavy duty use.. so I have no intention of abusing and torture testing this machete like other people do in order to see how strong it is - for me, this is a Zombie apocalyptic SHTF type of weapon.. and I am pretty sure it will perform and hold up just fine for my intended purposes.
    I do not even know what kind of steel it is made from - 3Cr13 or 440 stainless maybe? - but the finish is fantastic.. and apparently it sharpens well and holds an edge.. so I am sure it will do just fine at cutting, slashing, and chopping, and separating meat from bone and heads from shoulders.. and for $30 I dont see how you can go wrong with this awesome looking machete.

    I like design and fact that it feels good and comfortable in the hand , more weight on the front of the blade, which means stronger swing. But few issues. First :would be nice to have wrist strap , then saw teeth are much narrower than blade itself- that is a problem if you want to saw some wood, and could come little bit more sharp. I have not try it in action yet. When I will, I will do another review.
