- Reviewed in Canada on May 8, 2025Verified PurchaseI haven't used this paint yet but I've heard really good things about it so I wanted some on hand for all my DIY projects
- Reviewed in Canada on March 4, 2025Verified PurchaseI love this stuff for refinishing furniture etc. Dries quickly, nice coverage, sands well. Denatured alcohol or lamp oil does a good clean up if you get a little messy. But best to use cheap dollar store brushes that you keep wrapped air tight between and chuck after.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 20, 2024Verified PurchaseJust painted our kitchen backsplash with stuff and it’s great! It dries EXTREMELY quick! So no waiting around for hours. We had a 10 x 10 kitchen painted with 4 coats in under 2 hours. Has a subtle satin sheen to it which is nice. Very hard to get out of paint brushes, and off surfaces so be careful. Can be tinted if needed, would buy again!
- Reviewed in Canada on July 1, 2024Verified PurchaseI was working on a TV stand at home and i bought it as a primer to paint the material. It works well. I used both a roller brush and a paint brush. Both works well. I actually ended up using a paint brush for the whole process.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to apply!
Verified PurchaseI ordered this to seal plywood subfloors that have received damage from puppy potty training accidents :( I read on multiple forums that this will seal away odors. I was skeptical about applying it as my experience with kilz was less than ideal. I found their oil based primer to be a nightmare to apply. This was so easy!!!! I bought foam rollers and the BIN spread so easily. The only stain it has not covered after 2 coats is sharpie. That doesn’t bother me but I mention it if that’s an issue for anyone else.
Absolutely do apply with good ventilation and wear a mask. The odor is foul! But it does dry quickly & the odor disappears.

5.0 out of 5 stars No bleed-thru of cherry wood or finish
Verified PurchaseShellac-based primer is the stuff to use to prevent bleed-thru of cherry furniture. Paint is thick so use thin strokes or add a little water to the paint. Dries quick and very easy to sand and touch up if you make a mistake. Has a strong smell but didn't make me ill; strong smells usually give me a headache. Smells like Pepto Bismol but is not unpleasant; just make sure you have ventilation. Overall, this was an excellent primer for prepping wood furniture for chalk painting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works amazing on lament wood
Verified PurchaseThe coverage is amazing and it works wonderfully for priming lament/sleek finishes on wood without sanding. Let it dry overnight until you paint it to make sure it solidifies. It only took one coat even on a dark color. The wood will repell it but keep insisting and it will stick!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this product!
Verified PurchaseThis is a great primer for drywall that’s been ripped down to the cardboard! Used on a wall that had floor to ceiling mirrors and it covered the cardboard so I could mud without it bubbling. Also used it to prime holes made by anchors and screws. Sits great under drywall mud and/or paint. My last use was baseboards that were ripped from the wall and had mold/mildew underneath. This covered the color and any smell. Stuff is wonderful. Using in my bathroom next!
