I bought this stone to sharpen my axes after a hard day of cutting trees, or while I'm out cutting trees to keep the edge sharp. It's fairly coarse, with the smooth side being 320 grit, but when you need to get your edge while working, this thing is really handy! Hockey puck shaped so it's easy to fit in your hand and is very portable. Be sure to have a container of water to hold the stone nearby so you can always have it wet to do your sharpening. Absolutely worth having around! I mean, not the highest quality thing out there, but it gets the job done for cheap, which is all we really want.
