J'ai acheté cette calculatrice de poche il y a quelques semaines et elle m'a déjà bien dépanné plusieurs fois. Sa petite taille permet de l'emporter facilement partout, que ce soit en cours ou au travail. L'écran est clair et lisible, et les touches sont agréables à utiliser. Elle effectue les calculs de base rapidement et sans erreur. Je suis vraiment content de cet achat, c'est un outil simple mais très efficace au quotidien. Cependant je la trouve un peu difficiles à ouvrir parfois mais c'est peut-être juste moi.

My Mom refuses to carry a cell phone (so no access to a calculator app), but always complained that she needed a small calculator to do price comparisons while at the supermarket. So, after searching on �鶹��, I narrowed my choices to the Victor 900 Pocket Calculator and the Sharp EL243SB.

These two items are close in size and have the same basic functions, so I chose the EL243SB due to three factors: 1) attached hinged cover; 2) colour contrast between the buttons and body (the EL243SB has dark buttons on a light-coloured body while the Victor 900 has black buttons on a black body); and 3) slightly lower price.

Having the cover attached to the calculator means that she can't lose it. The hard cover also means that the buttons can't be mashed down and damaged if she accidentally loads something heavy on top of it.

The blue/red/grey buttons on a light tan body are easy on her elderly eyes. She has some remote controls at home with black buttons on a black body that are hard for her to see, so that disqualified the Victor 900 right off the bat.

And, finally, saving money is always good, so the lower price is welcome.

There is only one minor issue that she mentioned... The digits on the display are much taller than they are wide, so they look a bit oddly proportioned (i.e. tall and skinny). The digits are also leaning slightly to the left. Therefore, she sometimes has to do a double-take to make sure that she read the numbers correctly.

Otherwise, she really likes the EL243SB. It's compact, durable, and does what she needs. The dual-power feature is also nice; no worries about a dim display if you try to use the calculator in a low-light situation.

My only complaint is that the cover folds over to the back on the right side of the device instead of the left side? To me it would make a lot more sense to have it fold on the left side, but maybe that's because I'm right handed.
