I wanted to have this Vacmop so bad. I have a baby,a messy eater and a dog, also a messy eater, lol. I always consider the negative reviews and go around , and sleep on my choices. So I thought I'm gonna give it a try and here is what I experienced:
First, I received my vacmop a week ago. I used 2 pads! Right baby, 2pads only. U might say yikes, but my house is clean most of the time ,So I'm just maintaining. I used one of the pads for 3 days , I vacuumed more than I mopped and honestly I'm surprised it's still sucking in food crumbles no problem. I mopped with the same pad 3 times and vacuum debris and food crumble 6 times ( dining area, kitchen and bathroom) one pad!
Second, I hate that very fine hair and tiny tiny debris always stick to mops and are pushed to stay in corners , with this vacmop I don't have them anymore. I had sweefers and sweepers and brooms and an upright vacuum and non could take care of that task. So again my Shark vacmop is vacuuming first to the very extreme corners and it sucks really well.
Third, I do a thorough vacuuming every week and mop with whatever disinfectant . I take this vacmop out after baby's and doggies mealtime and some other occasions just to keep the floors clean. I don't do the whole house so It doesn't need to recharge everyday. I use it everyday 3 times but only for kitchen and dining area.
In general the sections good, for small stuff, mopping functions good and I don't care about streaks because I can mop again and clean those streaks ( streaks are only when the pad is dirty) and I don't throw the pad away after each use ,each pad is $1. Also it says don't try to vacuum liquid but I tried and it sucked small spills in the bathroom. I'm just not happy with pricy pads and I keep looking for reusable pads maybe handmade and sold on etsy. It's very convenient overall.
