Long overdue

- Reviewed in Canada on June 11, 2019Verified PurchaseNeeded to cool down my 1000sqft abode, and the portable AC unit I had wasn't cutting it.
Really pleased with how quiet system is, and so far, how capable and efficient it is. Was long overdue. My Electric bill fell by almost 35% overnight.
Just a few things I noted while hooking it up.
The control line cables seem a tad short relative to copper line sets. I hooked up copper lines first, and then installed the control lines, only to find I was short. I think they need to add a couple of feet to control lines because control lines have a slightly longer distance to travel. Moot point for me, as I went with Teck cable...cable needs to be mechanically protected outside. Note: I think all fans are DC powered.
The drain line on compressor unit - not enough clearance, even with with rubber feet. I had to shim unit so drain elbow could be installed. I'd make feet a little more prouder.
Would be nice to state clearly and in manual what unit is precharged with. Noticed on placard on outdoor copper line set cover at compressor unit, it was precharged for 49' of copper line (I have dual head unit). Placard also mentions to vacuum only 'one' line. I have two line sets...both line sets should be vacuumed.
Power terminals at compressor unit are undersized, not for control lines, but for power line. Had a bear of a time getting power line securely hooked up to little terminals.
Was thinking it would be nice to have the option to have one remote able to control both head units...
I purchased a vacuum pump, and vacuumed both line sets. Got the /gp/product/B07MZ5T96H
Should note I used plenty of Nylog where copper lines mate.
My install wasn't particularly easy. You can see I chose not to mount on wall, and I had to drill through concrete wall to run power, control lines and copper line sets. Also, had to patch lines together because I had one longish run (cutting and flaring ends). Water drain lines are not supplied (cheap to order)...I piped mine to HWT drain. Disappointed I cannot get a warranty for a DIY install. Nothing terribly complicated about install, just requires one to understand what they are doing, especially on vacuuming lines and pressure testing them.
Did have a mix-up on order, in that their website had wrong info for accessory (since fixed). Resolved quickly!
Have to say, I wonder why I didn't get this unit years ago. It isn't like normal AC units. I don't get the noise, AC smell, or bad air smell. I get whisper quiet flow of cool or warm air. In mornings, I am a bit chilly, problem solved (heats well). At bed time, I set unit to 62F, and within minutes, I am in la la land. Split air heat pump doesn't suck in outside air, so it isn't bringing in outside pollutants, nor defeating itself trying to cool the warm air it sucks in from outside like a portable AC or window AC unit.
And yes, you can turn off LEDs on head units, so you have no annoying lights at night.
The only sort of annoying thing, is the head units are a tad bulky, but there isn't much one can do, as the head units need a sizable coil and fan.
Again, so far, very pleased with unit. Thank you!

Reviewed in Canada on June 9, 2025Verified PurchaseTrès satisfait, silencieux et efficace
- Reviewed in Canada on December 26, 2021Verified PurchaseI've purchased and installed 2 of these units, [ 9000 btu units with 2 indoor heads each ] one for my Living area [ 425 sq. ft. ] and Master bedroom [160 sq. ft.] and another one for my garage being converted to 2 offices [ 110 sq ft. each ] I did most of the work myself and paid a HVAC tech to hook things up and it was fairly easy process.
This year [2021] in our area we have seen some wild temperature extremes. In the summer we hit record temperatures of days in the upper 40s [ celcius ]. The units effortlessly kept our place at a very comfortable mid 20s.
Today [ Dec 26th 2021 ] the temperature is -20 [ Celcius ] outside and while our living area is needing our backup baseboard heaters to keep things cozy the the heat pump is still providing some heat!
Extracting heat out of air that is MINUS 20 and pumping it into the house [ Units have no resistive heating elements in them ! ] blows me away. I thought they would stop working at around - 5 to -10 but nope they are still working!
My smaller office area [ still under construction with one wall needing to be insulated ] was -2 when I went into it this morning just to test the heat pump in this frigid cold weather. It struggled but it did manage to get the rooms to and maintain +11... Awesome units.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 23, 2025Verified PurchaseI have had great success with this unit.
- Reviewed in Canada on September 12, 2019Verified PurchaseImpressed with the quality and value. Super quiet
- Reviewed in Canada on August 8, 2023Verified PurchaseThis is the second Aura I have installed, the first in 2020, still going strong. I reviewed that one and I was very happy with it,the remote being an item that needed improvement. The new remote is much better and now used radio instead of optical so no need to point at the unit. I installed the holder on the wall. Also the air handlers are even quieter and the filters are top mounted and easily removed for cleaning. I am not currently using wifi so can't rate that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely satisfied!!!!!
Verified PurchaseI've had these now 1.5 years and I've had absolutely no issues. I have a 650 sq ft house and these are actually almost too much for the space (not complaining). I live in upstate NY and the humidity has been brutal the past year and these REALLY cooled down the house to west I had to put on a sweater. The heat is amazing. Again, we get VERY cold winters here and the heat works like a charm. Get a humidifier tho during the winters because it does make the air very dry. Or boil water, whatever your fancy. But beware, then it heats up the house very quickly. Customer service was amazing. I had called regarding my warranty as I forgot to get the license number of the installer and they and I had a fall out (contractor) but they were very very helpful and addressed the issue quickly and even called back to make sure all was ok. I super duper highly recommend. Also, my bills have been much cheaper. My electric company was going off estimations and I'm so busy with life I didn't even realize my bills were still so high, they came out, did an actually reading and realized they over charged by an enormous amount. 300 credit. Heating bills run about 90 per month, cooling about 50. (Everyone is different and every place is different though) Bills went down significantly.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nice unit, works very well and very quiet operation
Verified PurchaseRecently installed the dual zone mini split unit. Installation was straight forward and followed several youtube videos and information from the Senville website. I'm not an AC guy but was able to do the install, follow the guidelines and unit worked right on startup. Pretty impressed by how quiet the outdoor and indoor units operate. So the initial battle is won, unit up and running and happy with the quality for the price. now to see how it lasts over time. I will update the review after a few months but overall you can't go wrong with this brand. Remotes are nice and wifi control is a plus.
UPDATE 11/30/20 After using the system for a few days we decided to setup the wifi access... what a joke. They advertise if being app controlled but after countless hours of trying, searching and just plain giving up the wifi does not work and its clear from others experience we are not alone in this. 5 stars went to 1 star. We wanted this feature.

5.0 out of 5 stars DIY Friendly with a little research
Verified PurchaseI did this as a DIY. I am not a HVAC tech nor have I done any mini splits like this before. I did some research and got it done myself. It's not like a MR. COOL so don't expect it to be as easy DIY install. You'll need to buy a vacuum pump and know a little bit of electric wiring. When you release the refrigerant through the valves, don't do what I did and fail to open both the big port AND small port. I figured it out and now it's running like a champ. Nice and cool and has decent heat. I am able to run it off a 30amp generator along with my entire bunkhouse. It uses little electricity. I find it a good buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product, Great product support from Senville
Verified PurchaseOur first time installing a mini split. This package included two units, two 15 foot line sets and two 15 ft communication cables which were easy to install, however too short for the 2nd floor unit. A quick call to Senville and they happily exchanged a line set and a communication cable for 25' ones. In addition, the package didn't include the condensation lines (we needed 2, one for each unit) , got them for $10 each on 鶹.
The only problem we had was putting the bracket securely in the drywall. The location of the center bracket fell smack in the center of the wall stud and I needed better wall anchors for the ends of the bracket then the ones provided.
After the replacement (longer) lines arrived it took about 2 hours to connect wires, line sets, mount indoor units and run outdoor lines. The next day my AC guy arrived, and after checking for leaks, and connecting the line sets and communication cable, boom we had heat. The unit is so quiet we didn't even know it was on!
Remember to have your AC company fill out your warranty cards after they complete the final hook up and email them to the email address located on the warranty card. A 7 year warranty...not bad!
All in all great product, easy to install. I would have spent minimum of $4500 to have an HVAC company do what we did in two hours. I saved over $2200 going this route.
A big shout out to Sam at Senville for all his help, Thank you! .....
