There are two speed settings, night time(quiet) and daytime(loud) ; the nighttime is extremely quiet, which is perfect, however, the daytime is quite loud. There is also an automatic which allows the unit to detect what the air looks like, and it changes the setting based on what it senses in the air. I do like the fact that if the unit is tipped or the sensor door is open. The unit turns itself off which is a nice little feature.
It does a great job, just wish it wasn’t so loud, it’s hard to focus on other things like watching tv, working or listening because it’s so loud!
