Works so well!
It works better than I thought, I was thinking about buying a laminator then I saw thus product. I used it to laminate a keychain which is made if about 2mm think plastic, I wasn't sure it would work because of the thickness, but it worked out great! It comes with some cool little foldable scissors and a squeegee to remove any air. Very happy with this product and the price is really good compared to similar ones.

    This product serves well as a thick enough book cover, including being water repellent.
    Only issue—not because of the product’s manufacture but inherent with any plastic cover this thick—is that air bubbles will form and will be a pain to take out. However, that’s not the manufacturer’s fault. In fact, they have provided a plastic piece to try smoothing out air bubbles.

    I stand corrected, I just measured the 6 different laminating sheets that I purchased on 鶹 and elsewhere and found that this one IS actually 5 mil thick. When I say 5 mil thick I am talking about the film itself, not the film and the backing. I must not have calibrated my calipers properly before I measured it the first time. Granted, I am not using this film for the purpose for which it was intended. I have been looking for a 5 mil thick clear, gloss, self-adhesive laminating sheet to make transparent pickguards for the custom guitars that I make. I have found a few 12 and 14 mil sheets but they are too thick and show up too much on the guitar. When you spend $150 for a 5A, 1/4" quilted maple drop top you want to be able to see it and not cover it up with an ugly piece of plastic. I have been using 5 mil clear, gloss, self-adhesive laminating sheets for guitar pickguards for years and they stand up to picks very well. Unfortunately, the vendor I used to purchase from no longer sells the item I was using.

    The reason I am only giving this 4 stars is that the sheet is not as clear or as glossy as I expected. It has a slight pebbly texture. At the moment, it is the only 5 mil "clear" self-adhesive laminating sheet that I can find.

    This was a great buy! You really get bank for your buck! I laminated a ton of my books. This was the first time I laminated ANYTHING and I was VERY pleasantly surprised by how easily was to use! It also came with a tool to rub out air bubbles and a tiny scissor that came in VERY handy for the finer details. I was able to laminate 9 books and still have some paper left. All in all I would absolutely recommend this product and I myself will be purchasing it again in the future if I plan on laminating any more books!
