About this item
- [Flexible Compatibility] Seeeduino XIAO development board is Fully compatible with the Arduino IDE ,you can easily develop some Micro projects with the help of the large and comprehensive Arduino library. As it has a 2.54mm pin pitch, it is a replacement for Arduino microcontroller that can be used even when inserted into a breadboard.
- [Ultra Small] Seeeduino XIAO board is as small as your thumb (about 20x17.5mm) and can be used to make small devices such as wearable devices. The Seeeduino XIAO Development Board is the smallest board Compatible with Arduino in the Seeeduino series.
- [Multiple development interfaces] 11 digital/analog pins, 10 PWM Pins, 1 DAC output, 1 SWD Bonding pad interface, 1 I2C interface, 1 UART interface, 1 SPI interface. Attention:All the I/O pins are 3.3V, please do not input more than 3.3V, otherwise, the CPU may be damaged.
- [USB Type C Support] Seeeduino XIAO supports the USB Type-C interface which can supply power and download code. Type-C is more robust than Micro USB.And there are power pads at the back of the XIAO which support battery and make it designed for wearable devices to become realistic.

- Reviewed in Canada on November 10, 2020Verified PurchaseI’m relatively new to Arduino and found this super-easy to use. In fact, it’s my favorite microcontroller (that I’ve tried so far). It’s small, looks good on my pieces (I’m an artist pivoting into LED/programmable jewelry) and performs flawlessly. I couldn’t be happier and just bought another pack because I quickly used up the first one. Love these!
- Reviewed in Canada on March 2, 2021Verified PurchaseGood quality, tiny size, very useful for HID devices such as keypads, game controllers, etc. The USB-C port is a big selling point for me, as most board of similar nature have the older style Mini or Micro USB port.
- Reviewed in Canada on October 14, 2021Verified PurchaseNeeded a small sized micro-controller compatible with Arduino IDE for a project. This fit the bill nicely. It's 20x17.5mm in size. The pins are spaced to fit a standard breadboard for easy prototyping. See the Seeeduino XAIO wiki page for what you need to use.
- Reviewed in Canada on November 9, 2023Verified PurchaseALL I/Os usable, input/output,Refreshing! I have used these units to replace reams of Microchip micros. However, I have noticed pricing going through the roof recently. Too bad. Looks like I'm going back to programming in assembler.
- Reviewed in Canada on December 26, 2020Verified PurchaseLovely and so tiny. The 3 pack is also nice because now I have ideas for how use them all.
The only downside is my soldering skills are rough. But practice is great.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 14, 2021Verified PurchaseAt first sight the cost and size and what it could do was an excellent deal. I was able to start writing code on it right away. And had many thoughts of projects I can do on it. I did find a major flaw which makes me walk away from it until it gets better. It is easy to Brick the system. Which makes it very unreliable for any projects. You can't have your board not operate just because you turned it on or off a few times. I believe it's the boot loader that has a bug in it. It needs to be rethought. And once it's fixed. This will be an excellent product.
- Reviewed in Canada on September 20, 2020Verified PurchaseThe product arrived fast, no delays.
Just tested it today. Works fast and well.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite little not-ESP.
Verified PurchaseI honestly just do not see myself using any other microcontroller for my non-wifi projects.
I had to do some shopping for libraries to use to get everything working but I think most of that was just inexperience on my part.
The project pictured above is a four MQ sensor gas sniffer with an OLED display powered by a 5V USB C power brick. The 5V is used to power the sensors and a small fan that pulls air through while the MPU operates on 3.3V.
I bought a second set of three of these, the expansion board, and a handful of grove connector cables. I honestly don't know if I will use the expansion board since I have had little trouble experimenting with these with a few I2C devices. The expansion board has a debug interface that might make it useful one day for me.
If one does not need the wifi or BLE of an ESP32/8266 then I would recommend this microcontroller. I used YouTube for all of my initial research and the manufacturer's web site and forums afterward. I develop with PlatformIO, but was also able to program using the Arduino IDE.

4.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT recommend for use on MAC
Verified PurchaseI have Arduino IDE for mac. Downloaded all required files for these boards. Was able to communicate and load a sketch onto the first board. It loaded and ran just fine. Tried to load another sketch to the same board and PORT disappeared. Was unable to communicate with it again. Tried the second board. Was able to load a sketch to the board no problem. Tried to load another sketch to that board and the Port disappeared just as the first board. Tried the third board. Same problem. Now I have three boards that I can't communicate with anymore. The boards do turn on, but no longer can communicate with them. UPDATE 02/23/21 NOTE: FOUND THAT BOARDS WILL COMMUNICATE WITH IDE IF THE RESET PINS ARE PULSED TWICE RAPIDLY. IF PULSED TWICE THE USB PORT FOR THE BOARD APPEARS AND IS ABLE TO COMMUNICATE ONCE MORE. ONE RESET PULSE WILL NOT CAUSE THE USB PORT TO APEAR. Will continue to experiment with these little boards.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bootloader problems
Verified PurchaseThese things seem nice but I have to reset it every time I upload code. It is a well known issue that doesn't seem to have a fix. The best thing to do is to solder a push button with 2-4" wires on to the tiny reset pads. Use that device for development only. I just went with the Adafruit Trinket M0 instead.
