SECURA Stainless Steel Food Steamer is designed for people who love a healthy way to cook. With a powerful 800W steam system delivers steam from the top-down, surrounding food to cook quickly and evenly. 2 stackable containers with a total capacity of 8.5 Quarts is large enough for family-size portions of meat, fish, poultry, grains, chicken and vegetables and more.

Versatile of steamer

  • BPA-FREE
  • 1 or 2 tiered flexible stacks allow different types of food to be cooked at the same time, and compared to other cooking methods, it retains nutrients and vitamins better.
  • Delay start: Steamer will activate on the time you set before.
  • Non-slip upper lid knob and Anti-scalding handle.
  • Clearwater line.
  • Safety Mechanism: Auto shut-off when the cycle is completed or water is empty.

How to clean

  • Remove mineral build-up: Fill the inner pot with equal parts water and vinegar (50% white vinegar and 50% warm water). DO NOT exceed the Max line.
  • Boil the water and wait until it's completely cold. Swipe the scale with a soft cloth. Please DO NOT use hard steel wire to avoid damaging the surface.
  • DO NOT immerse the power base in the water. The outer surface of the appliance can only be wiped with a wet towel. Do not rinse with water to avoid leakage and malfunction.

    It works great as a steamer, just put in some water and turn on the timer. It heats up relatively quickly and will steam foods with ease. Everything except the base is machine washable, which makes it easy to clean. The pot in the base is non-detachable from all the electronics, so you have to be very careful when washing it to avoid getting water into all of the electronics. I would not recommend using the heating element in this product as anything other than a steamer, as the bottom pot cannot be easily washed due to it being non-removable. When you use it, there will be some residue left that should be removable by boiling a water and vinegar solution (instructions are in the box). That being said, since you're only putting water into the bottom pot, you don't really need to clean it that thoroughly IMO. All in all, a good product if you're looking for an electronic steamer. Don't expect it to do anything other than steaming. I have not had issues with the handles falling off yet, but the plastic cap on the lid has come off, though the handle is still there so the lid is still technically usable. I think I've had the steamer for about a month now, so the plastic's quality is a bit questionable.

    This steamer cooks food quickly and evenly. I have used steamers for years, and this is the best one I ever tried. It's roomy, and holds a lot of food. Clean-up is quick and easy. The best part is that the food never touches plastic, which is why we bought the stainless steel steamer. The steamer arrived quickly, and very well packaged. This steamer looks great on the kitchen counter, where it is used for every meal. I ordered a third tier, which is available for a reasonable price.
