I think, even though I buy something on amazon probably every day on average, this is the first time I have written a review! I feel compelled to write a review because this game is done amazingly well.
First off we are a married couple with an 8 year old boy and an obsession with board games. Probably have 100? Focused on family games with our son. There are some great games out there.
This one stands out because it is unique in many ways. The game CHANGES as you play! They give you many envelopes (can’t remember exact number maybe 13?). You work through different levels and every 5 or so games you play, you open a new envelope with instructions to level up! So this game is perfect for a family where you will be encouraged to keep playing the game time and time again! The actual instruction booklet is a fun little booklet to work through, adding a zombie brain if you lose a game or a trophy sticker if you win, as you progress through more games, keeping track when to open the next envelope. We made a deal that we would only open the next envelope if we WON more times than we lost on a level. It’s a cooperative game: family against zombies. Either they win or you win. This is great for my competitive son so sometimes gets too mad if he loses a game. If we ALL lose (as a family) he seems to take it better.
The envelopes contain new stickers and goals to add to your booklet. My son finds it fun and exciting. We are playing about 5 games (one level) per night.
I would like to see what other games (if any?) these people have made, because they put a lot of thought into their games.
