    These quail scissors are surprisingly well-made for something so specific. The precision of the blades makes cleaning quail so much less frustrating than trying to use regular kitchen shears. The ergonomic handles actually do make a difference when you're prepping several birds at once. Not sure why they're sold as a 2pc set since I only needed one (now I have a backup sitting in a drawer I guess?). The blades have stayed sharp through multiple uses, and they're easier to clean than I expected - no tiny crevices where stuff gets stuck. The joint is solid with no wiggling. Kind of funny that I own something this specialized, but if you regularly cook quail, these are legitimately worth the drawer space. Probably overkill if you only prepare quail occasionally, but for someone who cooks them regularly, it's one of those tools that makes you wonder why you struggled with regular scissors for so long.
