Some boys and girls were at a party one night. There was a graveyard down the street, and they were talking about how scary it was.
"Don't ever stand on a grave after dark," one of the boys said. "The person inside will grab you."
"A grave doesn't scare me," said one of the girls. "I'll do it right now. . . ."

5.0 out of 5 stars My imagination running wild with all the vivid tales and nicely sketched monsters
Verified PurchaseOh boy if you never want to sleep again then this is the book for you. Many a night during my childhood this book kept me from sleeping. My imagination running wild with all the vivid tales and nicely sketched monsters. 10/10 because this takes me back 20 years again and brings forth the same feelings of unease when reading.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 22, 2014Verified PurchaseBought because we thought it was the edition that has the original art.
It does not.
The preview we saw for this IS the original art, but this version has a different artist that we forgot to double check.
The book quality itself and shipping time was great, it was our own error this time.
So just be sure to double check the artist if you're looking for the original art.

- Reviewed in Canada on April 3, 2020Verified PurchaseIt wasn't clear if the imagery was like in the original, well it IS NOT! THE DRAWINGS ARE THE UPDATED ONES. I am happy with the book nonetheless, but I would have liked to know that before.

5.0 out of 5 stars Très bien pour faire de l'anglais
