Standard operating temperature	Standard operating temperature is 86-131°F/ 30-55°C. This will not affect the functionality of the device, or damage any hardware.
Video output on MacBook M3	To enable quad-display on M3 MacBooks, close the laptop lid (use clamshell mode), connect power, and use a mouse and keyboard to activate the fourth monitor via the Thunderbolt 4 port.
Video output on MacBook M1/M2	MacBook M1/M2 can do triple display: 1 via USB-C Thunderbolt (6K/60Hz) + 2 via HDMI DisplayLink software installed (4K/60Hz).
Charging ports	15W power supported on all Thunderbolt 4 ports. Charging limited to two ports at a time.
Compatible with Thunderbolt 5	The docking station is compatible with Thunderbolt 5 devices . When used with Thunderbolt 5, speeds will be limited to 40Gbps.
Compatible with older protocol	The docking station is downwards compatible with Thunderbolt 3, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2/1, and older USB protocols down to USB 2.0.
OS compatibility limitations	iPadOS and iOS are NOT COMPATIBLE with DisplayLink technology and won't support HDMI video output through this docking station.

Can I connect up to five displays to the ports on the dock if my computer supports it?

Supports up to 4 external displays: 2 via USB-C Thunderbolt (USB-C, HDMI, or DisplayPort) and 2 via HDMI with DisplayLink driver/software installed and running on the host device.
Can I charge a device from the dock?

Yes, the Thunderbolt 4 ports offer up to 15W of power.
Can I daisy-chain another dock or hub to this docking station?

Yes, the Thunderbolt 4 ports can support daisy-chaining with other compatible Thunderbolt devices such as displays or external drives.
What is the maximum resolution supported?

HDMI and DisplayLink support 4K@60Hz. Thunderbolt output varies by port type and display count: up to 6K/8K (single) or 4K (dual). Apple silicon may affect max resolution.
Do I need to install any drivers or software?

DisplayLink is required to use the HDMI ports but the rest of the dock is plug-and-play, meaning no additional drivers are needed to connect USB devices or extend to an HDMI display.
