Light keyboard, no backlight, doesn't work properly out of the box

Light keyboard, no backlight, doesn't work properly out of the box
As another reviewer stated this is not a typical keyboard layout. Not really a problem for me as the main letters are still qwerty. Problem is many of the buttons don't seem to work with my brand new s10 ultra. I think this may be a configuration issue, but frankly for this price the darn tablet should be able to detect the physical layout of the Samsung brand keyboard. It is light and the keyboard types nicely, however the lack of backlighting is insult for this price point and you have to physically disconnect the tablet from the keyboard to close it which I am sure will eventually lead to issues with the connector, as I had happen with iPad pro. Finally there is no protection around the edges. The ludicrously expensive other model has a touchpad and better protection but it is insanely heavy. Cannot see why someone can't make a good slim keyboard with a touchpad. Literally countless mini PC computers and Chromebooks have done this.

    Expensive, but for a reason. Smooth, quiet keys with responsive action that allows the user to keep touch screen smudges to a minimum. Typing is easier than on-screen keyboard, especially because the ultra is 14.5" and a little unwieldly to hold and type. Definitely recommend.

    First of all the keyboard works and works well, so - I figure I have to give it at least 3 stars. Here are some Pros and Cons:

    Pro: Good quality keyboard. Solid and holds the tablet fairly well.
    Cons: It is a little heavy with the tablet - but I am not sure they could do anything about that - it is a Big tablet.
    BIG CON: It is a multi-language keyboard - it is not the standard US English keyboard... It is the French multilanguage keyboard. As you can see in the pictures some keys are not labeled the same as the standard English keyboard. This makes using the keyboard difficult - as I have no interest in changing the tablet keyboard layout to match the keyboard - that would affect my touchtyping... I am not sure who in Samsung product marketing thought this was a good idea - but it will alienate over 85% or higher of Canada. I ended up having to drive down to the USA to purchase the proper cover - and will return this one.
