This is a really handy tool that cores and slices a pineapple in seconds. It’s easy to use, and the included chunk accessory is a great bonus — it quickly turns the slices into bite-sized chunks with minimal effort.

The only downside is that it doesn’t work as well on smaller pineapples — it can cut through the sides, which causes juice to leak out and reduces the amount of usable fruit. I’ve found it works much better with larger pineapples, which tend to be sweeter anyway. I now go for the bigger Jaffa pineapples (about £1.60 at Tesco), which give the best results.

Overall, a great time-saving kitchen gadget for pineapple lovers — just be sure to pick the right size fruit!
