    I bought this product, as I noticed a few others had, to keep my cat from opening the freezer while I'm away at work. The item itself is fairly straight forward but, much to my boyfriend's disappointment, is maybe a little primitive. It uses an adhesive pad much like the 3M to stick to whatever surface. I wouldn't recommend placing on a painted surface (because it's meant to last so removal will probably include some paint as well).

    It's a very simple buckle to release but you have to push it at the right angle. It's strong and flexible enough to allow me to forget its there and pull on the freezer door without opening it. My only complaint, which more has to do with gravity and the flexible material it's made out of is that the open/released position will droop and get in the way of a completely closed freezer door if you're careless (like me) and don't move it out of the way. Woops. Overall, very good product. Not a single cat-cident since.
