Target Many Insects with One Product
Why buy multiple products to eliminate an insect infestation when one would do the job? Safer’s BTK Caterpillar Killer controls a variety of caterpillars including cabbage worms, tomato hornworms, tent caterpillars, gypsy moths, leafrollers, and many more. The easy-to-use concentrate allows you to quickly mix the formula and spray where needed. When used as directed, the concentrate is powerful enough to kill pest insects without causing damage to your vegetables, fruit, trees, or ornamentals.

Small Bottle, Maximum Coverage
Don’t let the small bottle size fool you. Safer’s BTK Caterpillar Killer comes as a concentrate to be mixed with water when ready to use. While the bottle is 100 mL, it mixes with water to provide over 33L of solution to help you eliminate caterpillars nearly anywhere on your property. Once the caterpillars ingest the formula, they will stop feeding within a few hours and die within a few days.
How to Use
Step 1: Identify Areas of Insect Activity
Conduct a thorough search of your property and garden to find the areas were caterpillars are feasting on your plants.
Step 2: Mix the Concentrate
Follow the instructions on the back of the bottle to properly mix the concentrate with water for maximum efficiency.
Step 3: Spray as Directed
Spray all leaf surfaces, top and bottom, with the concentrate mixture without runoff to provide maximum coverage.
Step 4: Monitor the Infestation
Monitor your plants for insect activity and reapply if needed after 7-10 days.

- Reviewed in Canada on September 27, 2024Verified PurchaseI started to see small caterpillars on my medical cannabis plants so applied some of this BTK and no negative effects. The little buggers seem to have gone way too.
- Reviewed in Canada on September 12, 2024Verified PurchaseI have a boxwood hedge that looked like it was dead until I found out that we had a box tree moth infestation in our area. I got this stuff and applied it twice, a month apart in June and July. The hedge is now looking lush and full of leaves. I have enough of this left for one more application which will be applied this weekend (September 14) just to be sure.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 10, 2024Verified PurchaseI applied this product to a hedge (drenched it using a bucket) that was infested with Asian box tree caterpiller.
A massive downpour of rain, about 16 hrs later, had me worried that it was mostly washed off.
To my surprised, I examined the hedge about 2 days after application and immediately saw many dead caterpillers.
Mission accomplished......though I'll have to await next summer for the hedge to fully recover.

- Reviewed in Canada on August 9, 2024Verified PurchaseWas advised by a City of Toronto parks and forestry worker to use this on boxwoods. Spray in May and in Aug-Oct... worked well so far, but looking everywhere to find this again. Seems that demand has outstripped supply - nothing online, or in retail at the box stores or local hardware stores.
- Reviewed in Canada on August 17, 2024Verified PurchaseBTK is recommended to be the best way to get rid of the blight of caterpillars destroying our boxwood bushes. The jury is still out after 2 applications but I remain hopeful.
