Frost King Air Conditioner Foaming Cleaner keeps your home cooler and more comfortable when the mercury rises. It is a heavy-duty detergent-based product for maximum cleaning power. Your air conditioner will look and perform its best when you use it. Frost King air conditioner coil cleaner can also be used for car radiators, lawnmower engines, refrigerators and freezer coils and more. It easily removes pollutants like dirt, grease, and oil. This no-rinse foaming coil cleaner comes in a 19 oz aerosol can with a special 360-degree valve that allows spraying in virtually any position. It is an ideal addition to your home tool collection.

Product description

An heavy duty foam detergent coil cleaner in the convenience of an aerosol can. For use on most coils such as window air conditioners, central HVAC units, auto radiators, condenser and evaporator coils, metal filters, fan blades and more. Water based. This product can be sprayed in any position while the blasting stream easily reaches into tight areas. The aggressive detergent quickly and easily liquefies dirt, grease, oil or other residue and deposits. Fortified with corrosion inhibitors to prevent metal degradation, Will not harm drain pans, plastic or other materials in and around the area. The clinging foam is completely self-rinsing on condensate producing coils. Simply spray on and condensation generated will wash away the material. The pleasant citrus fragrance helps leave the area smell cleaned and deodorized. Contains no CFCs, chlorinated or fluorinated solvents. Cleaning coils increases efficiency and saves money. Directions: Turn off or disconnect power to unit being serviced. Shake well. Remove cap and point toward surface to be cleaned. Avoid spraying on electrical wires or connections. Thoroughly saturate the targeted area with product. With this self-rinsing formula, the foam will break and condensation accumulation will completely rinse the emulsified material. Scrubbing cap is great for removing large, imbedded pieces of debris. You may wipe clean or rinse with water if desired or if using on non-condensation producing coils. For extremely stubborn or heavy deposits, repeat application may be necessary. Turn on or return power to unit.

Used this to clean the fins on exterior AC compressor unit (YORK). I cleaned from the inside spraying outward. a lot of dirt and grime was being pushed out by the foam. used a garden hose on a light spray mode to not damage the fins. Before cleaning, you could clearly see dirt and debris, but after you could see through the fins. Worked as advertised and I will buy this again. I wish this can was a little bigger to hold a bit more product. I used the entire can on my AC unit and could have used more for a total cleaning, hence the 4 stars

This stuff actually works. I have a large in the wall air conditioner. It constantly smelled like mold whenever I turn it on. I was at a loss on how to get rid of the smell until I came across this. I took off the cover of the unit and the filter. I covered the wall under the unit with a towel so the foam didn’t drip down. I sprayed the entire metal part (not sure the name of it). It instantly started pulling dirt out of the unit. I was shocked. I wiped it down completely after it was finished foaming and proceeded to do it 2 more times. After I wiped it for the last time I put the unit back together and turned it on. There was no smell of mold. It was actually a clean scent. I did this over a month ago and haven’t had to do it again. I use the AC quite often and haven’t smelled that mold smell. I’m pleasantly surprised.

Our Central AC unit comes apart really easy for cleaning. All I had to do was turn the breaker off, and remove 4 5/16" screws from the fan guard. I was able to lift the whole fan assembly out and prop it up off to the side. This gave me really good access to the condenser from the inside. I was able to spray it down, let the cleaner soak for a few minutes, and spray it down from the inside out. Our unit is only 5 years old, so there wasn't much buildup. It's still a good bit of preventative maintenance to keep your unit running longer and more efficiently.

Had an old window A/C unit that was taken care of very well. Instead of a new A/C one I figured I give it a try to clean the old one. I left the unit in place in the window ( I'm 70 ) and did not want to try to remove the heavy old one. It took only a few minutes to spray on and I did it twice to insure the coils were clean. Now the unit runs almost as good when it was new. Worth it to try before you spend a ton of money on a new one when your old one was just dirty.
