This thing looks awesome. It's a decent quality. It's sturdy, and the plate weighting at the bottom fits great. Perfectly weighted. The detail is nice although not extremely detailed. Makes for an interesting mantle piece!

I did not know I had a need for this item or that such a thing was even sold on �鶹��, but alas, a fool I was because this sabertooth tiger skull replica is now the coolest decor element in my office and I love it so much! It��s not perfect in every way, but it fits with the aesthetic of my room so well and now that it��s an integral part of my decor, I cannot see myself not having it around.

Positives first, this is an incredibly detailed and beautifully painted replica. I can��t say with how much accuracy this replica reproduces the scale and detail of an actual sabertooth tiger skull, but it sure ��feels�� realistic enough. There are lots of medium and small details to pickup if you look closer, which definitely help make it look like the real thing, although texture wise, you can definitely tell it is made of resin and not real bone. The paint job is also pretty good with its fossil inspired color palette and subtle variations in hues airbrushed by hand (I assume). The final result looks quite impressive, but also feels sturdy and durable as a whole. I don��t see this thing easily breaking unless it drops on a hard floor from pretty high up and even then, resin rarely breaks in tiny pieces and is usually easy to repair, so, there again, I��m not too worried for its durability.

Now, if only the stand that came with this beautiful replica was just half as good, I would have been happy, but as it ��stands��, it is pretty mediocre as far as stands go. First off, it has a rectangle metal base, meaning you need to angle the head in a very particular angle (facing straight along the longer side) for it to be the most stable, otherwise if you slightly push the back of the skull, it easily tips over and falls face first down. The worst part about this stand though is definitely how the metal rod screws into both the skull and the rectangle base. It simply does not line up with the base once fully screwed in, so you end up with the skull at the aforementioned undesired angle that can easily tip it over. When I realized that, I tried to unscrew the rod from the skull and while the rectangle base was easy to unscrew, the end that was screwed in the skull got tightly stuck there. I had to take out pliers and use a lot of force to unstuck it and by the time I did get it unstuck, most of the paint around the top of the rod had been scraped off. So, basically, the only way to get the skull angled in the right direction is to keep it somewhat loose at the base and leave it at that, which is not the greatest solution, but it��s better than leaving the skull unbalanced. I��m convinced there has to be a better kind of base design for a piece like this, but I��m not very knowledgeable about the world of replicas, so I digress. Lastly, but least noteworthy, the surface of the rectangle base shows a lot of bumps, likely metal bits that flew off and got stuck to it during the welding process and were painted over afterwards. It��s not a big deal, but it��s a bit sloppy in contrast to how nice and clean the replica looks.

All in all, while there are some flaws to be found with the base, the replica, which is the real star of the show here, is impeccable and beautiful, so as a whole, this product is well deserving of a solid 4.5 stars in the end and I am very happy to own it and look at it every time I enter my office. It��s also worth noting that when I ordered it, it was listed at 130$ and I thought it was worth the price seeing it in person, so now that it has gone down to 66$, I would say this is a steal for the kind of quality that you are getting, especially if, like me, you are very much into this kind of prehistoric/nature related decor item.

It's a fun little sculpture - it's not particularly detailed, or realistic. But it's a great piece of art and I use it as decoration in my office. The stand is a little junky - there's simply a bolt welded to a metal plate, with a piece of threaded rod.

I like it because it��s an interesting piece, but it also has such good texture and colour to add character to my living room, which has a lot of black accents.

The skull is made of resin, and it��s got a lot of texture to it and varies in the coloration. It looks really expensive and definitely could pass for an older or natural peace. The bass that holds it up is very sturdy and very well designed, it does not tip at all. While being very sturdy, it is also very discreet, and does not call attention to itself.

For me, this is a very welcome addition to my living room, and I think it��s a good value for the quality and how unique a piece it is.

Perfect for any prehistoric amateur or collectors this sabertooth replica will make a nice gift idea. The reason i took 1 star is because of the metal frame holder is very simply made making it look cheap. A bolt solder to a rectangular metal plate with a threaded rod connecting to the skull.

They could had made it much better i think with just some simple adding like using something to hide the bolt and making round corners for the plate or even a wooden plate would had been better. But the skull itself is very cool and realistic.

This looks as pictured - really cool. This is a cool item for interest sake. The material is fairly heavy. It feels quite solid. I'm not worried it will break easily. The stand is heavy enough- barely, but it supports properly. I found it a bit tough to get the stand straight. It took a few tries, then I gave up with it at a bit of a funny angle. After a couple hours I picked it up and I was able to screw the base to rest of the way. I'm not sure why that happened, but in the end it all lines up really nicely.

This JOTNBOBO 1:1 Sabertooth Tiger Skull Replica Model is definitely a conversation piece...I don't think that the 1:1 scale is correct because I'm pretty sure that a sabertooth tiger skull would be much bigger, perhaps this is a young sabertooth tiger skull...nonetheless if you were to find an old relic of a real one I'm sure it would look like this...it has some good weight to it and the stand is very simple and easy to attach...a very interesting piece...I collect skulls so this goes perfectly with my collection...I feel it's overpriced at $169.90

I'm a huge fan of cats and I just love this kind of stuff! I am so pumped to have this on my TV stand and I show it off to everyone that comes in.
