Just snap it onto a standard 5 gallon bucket rat trap, place a small amount of bait (grain, fruit, or leftovers) in the bucket, and place the trap along a wall where mice activity is known. You can also put some smear peanut butter on the inside lid roof, then rats will be attracted here to eat, rolling flip design makes the mouse fall into the bucket automatically.
